"The Mandalorian Killer: Thendys Noori no longer continues to heal Kellian Jarro after she has surrendered."

Haha, I knew something was wrong with that fight. Jarro's health replenished far too easily, to the point it seemed impossible to beat him. I did it, though, on the first try. :twogun:

Heh yeah that was by a country mile the longest fight in the entire game. I'm pretty sure I had 2 minute cooldowns finish twice in that fight lol. I didn't realise that was the cause. Very nearly killed myself by hitting him with the 60 sec stun at the start then instantly cancelling it when he got hit with splash damage from an attack on the Padawan (D'oh!). Had to kite them both for a minute until I could stun him again.

I'm thinking the need to look around more. I had two fights in bonus missions on Voss where I used Cool Head 7 and then 5 times. With a 2 min cool down you can just about figure out how long the fight took. One was against a elite the other a champion. Funny thing was the champion was the shorter fight. I just healed in the first fight, against the elite, when I used Cool head the forth time I checked the health on the elite, it was 89%. The fight never would have ended if the only thing I did was heal. The elite couldn't take down my wookiee with my healing and the wookiee couldn't take out the elite with his healing himself. Pretty boring fights as I was never in any danger, at least the Champion would hit me once in awhile to break up the snore fest.

Tanks are fine, fights just take a bit longer to kill stuff... healers in this game have a much better chance than in any other due to the existence of companion characters. People can make it work if they want it to work and mim is the proof of that consdering what he's managed to do.

If he has face any difficulties along the way, that's kind of the point, the game isn't meant to be just a steady ride all the way through.

Sorry was clear on my point. I just don't see how a 2 level lower elite should be able to fight AND heal faster than 2 characters 2 levels above him. I can understand he can cause more damage than my Wookiee, I can understand that he can heal faster than my toon, I can even understand that he can tank better than my wookiee. What I can not understand is how he can do all three at once and do it better than a champion his same level.

Elites can be trickier than Champions, yeah. Sometimes I think Champions are just elite's with much more health points. With a lot of Champions I find the only thing to worry about is not to lose concentration and routine, but elites can sometimes surprise you and make a fight a hectic business.

@ mim: I've found that while some of the same moves performed by enemy units have to be channeled, they also tend to have the ability to do two things at once if they want to. For example, there have been quite a lot of times when an enemy will be attacking one player and throwing grenades at another place without skipping a beat.

The nice thing about champions though, is that if they're not in a flashpoint, you can bet that they'll be fighting alone. Elites on the other hand will probably have Strong units somewhere close by.

The thing to remember about Elites and certainly Champions is that they are designed to be tackled by multiple players. Hence they need a lot of hit points and a lot of abilities to both take and dish out a lot of punishment. It is to be expected that if you tackle them solo that you will face a bit of a challenge. As for your specific example of an Elite being tougher than a Champion, I can only assume that the Elite wasn't just a generic one but a named one, and thus had ramped up abilities.

The Champion was generic, been told today that I was mistaken, I did not have to kill it for the quest. The Elite was one of two that you had to kill for the mission, there were stuff like kill 5 captains, 2 Warchefs and 2 Warlords. The Captains were strong and the other 4 were Elites. Can't remember if it was the Warlords or Warchefs that gave me hell. 2nd one wasn't so bad because I didn't waste 6 mins on a stand off.
