duster
A question. Why does Obi-Wan say that Yoda trained him in episode 5 and 6 since it was Qui Gon Jin in episode 1?Did Lukas made a small error here in the plot?
jeffcorn
Well here is just a guess, but maybe since we see Yoda with the younglings in Episode 2 maybe when Obi-wan was a youngling Yoda helped train him.

Yeah. That's most likely the explenation.Mabye younglings go through basic traning through him and then get trained by another master who will serve also as an example of the jedi knight.Thank's mate. Mandalore5
That's what The Jedi Path says (though there was a different Grand Master when that was written) - younglings are trained as a group by members of the High Council, then when one is ready, they are taken by a Jedi Knight or Master for one-to-one training in the field. sirNemanjapro
This scene was made purposely to explain that: I find it hard to believe that Yoda is a kindergarten teacher. Lucas has demoted a great Jedi to a kindergarten teacher. I watched all the movies, but, that scene him "working" with the kids. Is there anyone else there to dose jobs? It just doesn't work for me. I guess someone told Lucas about that hiccup after the Episode I, so he was trying to patch everything up.
Alexrd
I find it hard to believe that Yoda is a kindergarten teacher. He's one of the Jedi who instructs Younglings. Lucas has demoted a great Jedi to a kindergarten teacher. No, he didn't. I watched all the movies, but, that scene him "working" with the kids. Is there anyone else there to dose jobs? Of course. Do you think those are the only Younglings in the whole Order? I guess someone told Lucas about that hiccup after the Episode I, so he was trying to patch everything up. Or, you know, he actually trained Jedi for 800 years.
Mandalore5
Plus, surely it would make sense to have the best Jedi train those new to the order, so they can be sure their masters aren't giving them wrong ideas (like C'Baoth teaching Jinzler in Outbound Flight, or C'Baoth teaching Luke in the original Thrawn Trilogy)?
