Hey i was reading the old republic book revan and i realized that someone could convert this into a kotor 3 i have next to no skill at modding but i could help with some script writing and plot divising and so on...

(warning this next part is going to be a spoiler for both the book and the end of both kotor games)

at the beginning of the book Revan is having memories of a storm covered planet (dromand kass) and it unsettles him so he visits candoris to see is the mandolorians had anything to do with this... and after a few weeks candoris finds out that the mandolorians are searching for mandolores mask on an ice covered planet and revan gets a memory of putting the mask in a tomb there and at this point revan has been married to bastila for nearly 2 years and as he tells bastila they are heading there he finds out that shes pregnant so revan decides that only he candoris and T3 are to go with him to the ice covered planet...

and i guess that i cant convey everything that happens in the book so if you want to make this mod you should read it

here is a link to the book on amazon

I've been thinking the same thing since I read the novel myself. Although where you and I differ is that I don't think the fan-made game should follow the novel in every way, shape and form, but follow only Meetra (the Exile) in an original story for the first half of the game, where The Sith Lords left off, and then follow the second half of the novel for the second half of the game as she searches for and teams up with Revan. Then, of course, the ending would follow the book and flow right into The Old Republic.

Perhaps it could be tweaked a bit in that the player does not have to follow the canonical story. For example, you could choose to play as a male Exile, and meet up with a female Revan, whose placement depends upon similar dialogue choices from the game proper. And then there could be a dark side ending that either does or does not lead into the MMO (I've never played The Old Republic, so I have no idea if the game lets you specify that Revan and Meetra were dark siders or not).

i agree with you on most of what you said ive played the old republic and revan is in the emperor's prison for centuries kept alive by sith alchemy and if you a sith in swotor you kill him and hk after they escape and if your republic you help him escape with the aid of the exiles ghost (both are side quests)

and i also think you should have a record of finding mandalores helmet just because it seems like such an easy thing to import to a game and for when the exile (i assume he/she would have her/his own name and gender based on what you selected in kotor 2) reaches the planet the emperor destroyed you would fight ghosts because you cant simply have a planet with no foes to defeat it just doesnt fit

i wasnt asking someone to make it for me i was giving other people the idea while offering my limited talents

i dont want to take any credit and im not asking someone to make this for me there are many people who would like this and some of them have the time and skill to make the mod with or without me

I think it would be better not to play as the exile, as you already play as her in tsl. I'd think it'd be better to have a game where you play from the POV of Lord Scourge. You could follow canonically, as you can in the other games, or you can make different choices to have things turn out differently. I honestly don't think this will ever come to fruition, but I'm just giving my opinion on the matter.

The main issue is-- the book dictates the ending so there are no real surprises or wow moments since if you read the book you know it.

You could do what they did with walking Dead 400 DLC- where the player plays key moments and different characters where they can interact different which can affect a scene down the line or your choices based on what you did or said with another character earlier.

This would be the easiest way and keeping the player experience away from the fluff and focus on the major moments of the story.

at the end of the book one of the main characters (lord Scourge) has the choice of either betraying revan and the exile (and this is the lightside choice for reasons of varying complexity which you would only understand if you played the jedi knight character in swotor or had read the book) and you could also have him kill the emperor and then turn on revan (id make it so the exile would be killed by the emperor because it would make no sense for him be able to kill revan on his own)

But there is little choice in events other than that one.

If it was set up in sections like the 400 DLC but longer sections- like what we saw in Brotherhood of the Shadow then you can get the fun action moments and add in the choices in those moments and wonder how could these impact the end of the story.

It wouldn't work if built like a kotor1/2 since there are jumps in time and the book is scattered.

Realistically if you want to do this there is a point of no return sort of thing. That's what I'm running into with Shadows of the Empire. If you really want a KOTOR or TSL experience yet follow a particular story at the same time, you can only follow the cannon so much before you begin to deviate away from the original set of events.
