Fair Strides 2
So, I try to launch it for KOTOR1, and it just instantly closes, no error. Any ideas? I'm running on Windows 8.1, and running it as an administrator. All the log file says is that it found the save games folder Also side note, at least for KOTOR1, Steam adds registry keys now. I don't know why it does this, something to do with security I think. What you can do is follow the instructions from here: http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/478-dll-files-for-fair-strides-tools/

But I don't really understand the instructions, you'll have to excuse my incompetence... I followed the instructions the best I could, but I have no idea if I'm doing it right. 1. I downloaded JRLEdit (whatever that is) 2. I extracted the DLL files from KSE to a folder (don't know if that was what I was supposed to do) 3. Went into the system settings/ Environment Variables and added the path to the folder to the Path thingy... I followed the steps basically, but nothing changed. The editor used to work by just clicking the program, but now it doesn't. I have Windows 8.1 if that has something to do with it, but I'm pretty sure I had that when it worked earlier... so..yeeah. Nice work on the KSE otherwise, great program!

And did you restart your computer after you edited the Environment variables? If not, please do so. If so, then please double-check that the settings are still there. If that still doesn't work, tell me the name and location of the folder on your computer (location being the full path to it) and then show me what you put into the Environment Variables, okay? Kobipyon
Hi! Sorry for the noobish question, but this works with Kotor 1, right? See, I'm having this problem where when I start KSE it says to locate the TSL installation directory, since I don't have TSL I click cancel and it just crashes. How do I fix this? Thanks! If you're using the Cloud saves, there will be a cloudsaves folder in your TSL folder. You'd need to copy the cloud saves from inside the folder in your cloudsaves folder into a new folder in the main TSL folder called "saves". I'm currently working on a version that allows for the Cloud saves. Also, are you directing it to the steam folder itself, or the TSL folder inside the steamapps\common folder? Drat - your reply went to my spam folder Anyway - what I ended up doing was uninstalling the Steam version and installing off of GoG ... I pointed at that directory and BAM everything worked. I could then copy the edited game to my Mac Steam version and it worked great! Thanks again for all the awesome support!
craigrs1984
Any chance you might add support for iOS/Android mobile versions of the app? I found it's possible to export the save games from iOS, and then used version 3.3.3 of your editor to edit my save game. I was able to edit attributes just fine, but feats and force powers were not editable. It seems your editor reads feats and force powers from .2da files that are only available if you have full desktop version of the game installed, which I do not Is it possible to add an option to use feats/powers data hardcoded into the editor rather than loading from an external .2da file? Or something similar? Thanks.

The iOS/Android versions of the games have the .2da files in a compressed .bzf file instead of the normal .bif files, but the difference between hard-coding the feats, powers, inventory, .etc (everything, basically) versus the current "read the external file" would be a complete lack of mod support for the hardcoded version... Fair Strides 2
I know this thread is a bit old, but did you ever manage to figure out how to edit the feats/powers for the ios version? Just wondering The files in the data folder of the mobile version are compressed into a .bzf format that is 1/4th the size of the normal .bif files. If I had a 2da.bzf to work with (one of the smaller examples), I could perhaps try to work that in. But for a good mobile port of KSE, it'd be best if I re-wrote it strictly for mobile devices, which would of course require two things: 1. An idea of what languages I could code with on the mobile devices, since I assume one would work for all of them. 2. The ability to actually test the work on it, which would require either having a mobile device (possibly jailbroken-required?) or someone willing to be a very helpful tester. anarion321
Hi, i'm trying to make the save editor work in my gog version game, but it doesn't seem to find the path of the game. I've searched for a solution but i haven't been succesfull. I've tried adding the path to the registry for example, but so far, no result. Then I suggest copying the below section and placing in the relevant paths: (If you have K1 installed, change the K1_Installed to 1 and add the path) [installed] K1_Installed=0 K2_Installed=1 TJM_Installed=0 [Paths] Steam_Path= K1_Path=undef K2_Path=C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR2 K2_SavePath=C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR2\saves K2_SavePathCloud= TJM_Path=undef [Options] Use_K2_Cloud=
