The first section was completely silent for me too, on Firefox.

I'm still a brilliant genius for getting it on the first sound though :p

Listen Heardle, if I don't know it from the noise in the first second, don't just keep making the same noise for the whole first four seconds.

 

Not that I had any idea what it was anyway! At least I eventually started guessing the right game. The right part of the right game, even!

Eventually I realised that there's wind sounds in the music, and Curse doesn't have a lot of windy places. Just in time!

Blood Island is still probably one of my favourite locations across all the games. The music alone just makes it superb, but then add in the locations, the characters and wow. It's a 10/10 for me.

Curse really knocked it out of the park for atmosphere and music - I don't think any of the followup Monkey Island games have come close to what Michael Land and the team achieved in Curse.
