Gfan
I'm probably the only one but, i think that there should be a sequel to grim 1. even thogh there is a bade habit of butchering sequels , many still want to see what should or even would happen if we followed the characters beyond the ending. dont forget there were several un answered questions about manny and domino, or even how eva got seduced into being a revolutionary ------------------ gilbert cruz
Mighty MN
I agree with you. Although it was a superve adventure game like no other but there were many un answered questions.(In fact I didn't understand the story well)Funny

Gfan
i think that sequel done the respect it deserves could have some merit. even if the art were a little different it could still be the kind of depth of character and excellent story that the original had ....i'm going to start a petition, who is with me?!!!! ------------------ gilbert cruz
Largo LeGrande
I don't know. MI 1 & 2 were great games but CMI and EMI kinda "destroyed" the whole saga. They were poor attempts to continue the great fame of MI games. They had bad stories and the graphics weren't loyal to former chapters. I think Grim Fandango was one of the best LEC games among MI 1 & 2, DOTT and Sam'n'Max. Good story, music, ideas, characters, craphics, everything... I don't want LEC to do the same mistake when they made CMI and EMI (read above). Don't get me wrong, I would like to get a seguel to that great game. But then again, if it would be as bad as EMI, it would ruin the original game. ------------------ <IMG SRC="http://kuoi.asui.uidaho.edu/~kamikaze/icons/advisory.gif" border=0>

Gfan
thanks for the responses. But who would we have to talk to in order to be heard ??? if anyone knows please pass it on to me so we can get the ball rolling. i was thinking of starting a web page for artwork and concept submissions to show a growing intrest ina pre-quel or sequel or even a different story line that occured in the same time line like a ruba cava setting . it would be like a deep space nine of the 8th underworld!!! just a thought. ------------------ gilbert cruz
Metallus
Ooh, here's an interesting topic. For those that don't know me, I'm one of the Admins over at the GF Network (www.grimfandango2.com - currently down) with ZeroXcape, and I was following the fan-made sequel "Indigo Island", made by Raudaschl. LucasArts put a stop to it a few months ago, and I was bummed about that. What it might mean, however, is that a REAL GF sequel could be in the works. Evidence? Well, before EMI came out, LEC shut down a number of fan-made MI4 sequels. Also, since LEC is neither making or publishing the new Sam and Max games, the list of possible sequel titles that LEC could be working on is substantially lower now, with Sam and Max being a more viable option than a GF2 in many Lucasfan minds. Anyway, I think there should definitely be a GF sequel, but I don't think it should have much to do with the first game. For instance, it should not have the same cast of characters. Or, if it does have the same cast, it should be set in the ninth underworld, where the characters would look totally different. I was thinking maybe Manny would have to go back from the Ninth Underworld into the Eighth to solve some problem; he'd have to re-assume his skeletal form. I would love to see a sequel; it would make my news updating job at the GFN much more interesting . ------------------ <A HREF="http://home.dal.net/metallus/index.htm" TARGET=_blank><IMG SRC="http://members.hostedscripts.com/randomimage.cgi?user=Metallus"" border=0></A> Metallus is feeling <IMG SRC="http://home.dal.net/metallus/images/art/pooty.gif" border=0>

Natty
Griswold? I type fast too, I can probably type something like 50-60 words a min and look at how many mistakes I have in my posts? Very few, and that's even before I proof read each of my posts to make sure there aren't any mistakes, although I admit sometimes a few do slip past me. What are people taught at school these days? that the real way to spell words are as follows r-are u-you ur-your and so on and so forth, I'm sorry but people who do that sorta thing shyte me no end, hmmmmmm no wonder according to a poll that the spelling in younger people these days is so crap, some people don't even seem to know what a dictionary is, let alone how to spell properly when using the internet all the time they type u r ur, sheeeeeesh ------------------ <IMG SRC="http://nattsy.homestead.com/files/smurfsig.gif" border=0> Natty Is Feeling Very <IMG SRC="http://www.imood.com/query.cgi?email=nattydevil@optushome.com.au&type=1&fg=CC33F&bg=66CCFF" border=0> At This Present Time (Note Subject To Change Without Warning!) Metallus
Yeah, I mean, it's a message board, and you usually find things like: ne1 (anyone), ur (your), and other things like that in chatrooms or something, since you can't really go back and fix your errors. Not that you look like any less of a n00b when you use those expressions. ------------------ <A HREF="http://home.dal.net/metallus/index.htm" TARGET=_blank><IMG SRC="http://members.hostedscripts.com/randomimage.cgi?user=Metallus"" border=0></A> Metallus is feeling <IMG SRC="http://home.dal.net/metallus/images/art/pooty.gif" border=0>
