Zuckuss13 Posted July 30, 2001 Posted July 30, 2001 Hey Wouldn't mini games be cool like gamling and the like to get money and buy stuff and peoples help, also another idea like in Perfect dark and 007 Golden-Eye you should have to earn the cheats by being good at the game rather than just cheating your way through, like time cheats and stuff, What do yas think Scott
Zuckuss13 Posted July 30, 2001 Author Posted July 30, 2001 Another thing you could like buy the services of like bounty hunter to help you and guides and that general idea, Thanks Scott
MadPoster Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 Or ones where you can climb on buildings and activate your force sense?
wardz Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 hi scott, I have said that the Goldeneye system could work before, and I think it would be a good idea. I think buying "services" off other NPC's has to be done very carefully so they dont OVER do it and make it too cumbersome In future could you edit your posts rather than just add a new one straight after, Thankyou, wardz [ July 30, 2001: Message edited by: wardz ]

PreTZeL Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 cheats are always fun to use, AFTER, you beat the game of course...and dont tell me youve *never* turned a cheat on before...we all have...and one point...even if it was just for fun [ July 30, 2001: Message edited by: PreTZeL ]
acdcfanbill Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 umm, not that all rpg's are bad, but isnt mini-games and the lot sort of too rpg-like to be in a FPS? again, there not bad, i just think that would change the genre of the game.
Guest digl Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 earning the cheats by being good at the game sounds good Im not sure about buying and mini games It could be if they are well implemented
ed_silvergun Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 I think it would be great if you could walk into a cantina or something and play a game with one of the other customers, as Artoo and Chewie do in ANH. It's details like that which make a game...
CaptainRAVE Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 I dont think there should be cheats. There are no need. Games like Klingon Academy are so much more fun when there are no cheats available. Of course....trainers can still be constructed for use.
ed_silvergun Posted August 1, 2001 Posted August 1, 2001 On the subject of side-quests: From the recent Gamesmania preview: ...there are about eight main locations, with sub-locations within these places. There's even talk of optional areas that you can explore, almost like a mini-quest... Sounds good. [ July 31, 2001: Message edited by: ed_silvergun ]
