Luke Flyswatter Posted November 22, 2001 Posted November 22, 2001 I want a demo to get here soon! If any of you from Raven or LEC are watching this, when will a demo be available? Also, will Jedi Outcast work on MAC? My friend has a Mac, and he wants to know.

CaptainRAVE Posted November 22, 2001 Posted November 22, 2001 Probably about 2 weeks before the game comes out.....but it usually depends on when the PC magazines are coming out as they coordinate the release with them so they get the most people interested before the game comes out. Of course some developers wait until after the game is released. With the original JK we had a demo two months before the release here in the UK....id love that to happen again
StormHammer Posted November 23, 2001 Posted November 23, 2001 Sometimes I wait for the magazines to come out...but if it's released on the net first, I'll try to download it. If it's too big to download, or if it's only available on Fileplanet, I get a CD burned and delivered to the door. It saves a lot of hassle, and doesn't cost the earth. The last one arrived in about 10 days, which I think is acceptable from the US to the UK.

CaptainRAVE Posted November 24, 2001 Posted November 24, 2001 My dad pays for it all anyway .....but when my T3 wasnt working id just leave my 56k modem on all night and have the computer shut down when it had finished.....so either way, I still get it pretty quick

I think you'd best get used to large downloads for demos, etc. They are mostly getting bigger as time progresses, probably because there are so many fundamental features they need to include for the demo to work properly.
CaptainRAVE Posted November 24, 2001 Posted November 24, 2001 Yea, the average is about 200Mb now, and thats unlucky for 56kers, and now their briniging out streaming demos which for 56kers is even more bad news. But with my T3 a 200Mb file only takes about 5 minutes ....and a 2Gb file takes about 2 hours

I'll be downloading it forever. </STRONG> i hope the deom is BIGGER than the Elite Force one. if u cant download it then PC game Magizines with have em. i want the the demo to have AT LEAST ONE multiplayer saber only map and small single player thing like the half-life demo did. i think it'd be cool watch 15 fighting each other with sabers!
