Guest Tie Guy
Originally posted by Paragon_Leon Ironically, i have won practically all my multiplayer-battles by digging in. You see, when a player rushed me, i withstood that. and the funny part was that they had neglected to get a decent economy up by concentrating on attacking so hard.. so the first time i attacked, it was with a huge force, and he would basically just have started building his second army. It's the Leon-way of playing.. I meant the AI, not multiplayer. Since AI doesn't rush, it is hard to defeat them by defending. In mulitplayer, the player often makes mistakes, and will rush, eevn though he isn't prepared. He will then get crushed and then counter attacked. But that strategy doesn't work versus AI, coz they don't rush.
Paragon_Leon
The AI tends not to attack en masse. Even after the first round of attacks. So once i'm there, i ALWAYS have more units...
Guest Tie Guy
That's what i'm saying. Since they don't attack with their entire army, defending will never destroy their army. You have to attack, and a rush is often the best way to do it.
Paragon_Leon
...and what i'm saying is that i don't have to rush with computer AI. I can simply dig in, let him come (he never floods me) and then over time strike very very hard with a massive army.
darthfergie
That is a cheap way, but I do something similar to that more often than not. The only thing I don't like about that way is a am usually occupied in techs or somethig else and they start attacking with trebuchets and I don't realise it until the castle has about half life. What they really needed for me to like towers more was range. They were never able to hit trebuchets even bombard towers weren't able to.
