Jake Posted December 4, 2001 Share Posted December 4, 2001 I've heard a couple times now from a couple people relatively near the project (or sequels) that it meant exactly what it was. Guybrush is a very imaginitive kid in an amusement park (perhaps in pirate or "old timey" times, but he is a kid nontheless). I got a chance to talk with Tim Schafer this past summer and I of course asked about the ending to MI2 What did he say? "I don't know what all the fuss is about. It made perfect sense at the time." Apparently the "kid in an amusement park" was going to be the end to MI1 but people talked Ron Gilbert out of it to leave room for a sequel. Edit: Whoa, reading through that EZB thread. The only part I like about the ending was after the credits it keeps telling you more "productive" things you could be doing. The end of the story, I thought was pretty lousy.
