Bobbin
I recently went to LucasArts.com and they have a whole bunch of new games for various platforms being / going to be released but none of them are adventure games. What is wrong with them?
Guybrush122
adventure games arent exactly the hot new genre it was years ago......
Bobbin
but there still is a huge audience for those types of games. Anyways LucasArts should make games for their fans despite the popularity of the genre the game is. It just depresses me how no companies are making adventure games anymore and that is my favorite genre that isn't even remotely challenged by any other but I'm still praying for a resurgence in poularity in the genre hopefully in the next few years when I'll have a computer to play them on. Natty
Because- there's something called 'online games' meaning you can play games on the Internet
Metallus
Reminds me of the MI4 menu joke; the fake "Multiplayer mode" option. However, it's probably a possibility given the MI3 menu joke: "3D mode".
Guest Swoosh
No, the reason is $$$. If a game doesn't pay the bills, then why make it? Would you run a farm and sell pears when you could sell tangerines for a lot more?
Metallus
But I hate tangerines!

El Pollo Diablo
Yes, online games do exist but there are only a small hand full with the connection required to play them. Any way research has shown that the numbers of online gamers is relitivly small.

I mean it would be cool and everything- but I dunno, could kinda ruin the game? Unless you get to choose which character you play the game from? I would kinda like to play a game from say Elaine's view or Stan's view, but especially Le Chuck's view
JR2000Z
Multiplayer isn't the best reason to buy games. Especially with the new games, it would be hard for the 56K'ers to have any fun because of the lag.
Metallus
Heh, I don't know how they'd make a multiplayer adventure game. It's a definite possibility though.
Monkey Mania
Lucasarts hasn't announced anything yet, but a company ran by Justin Chin is making Sam n Max 2 for Xbox and maybe other consoles.
Metallus
Yep, I'm one of the first to know if there's new new about the Sam and Max game coming out. I run Snuckey's, an up-and-coming Sam and Max site, so I'm really interested in Infinite Machine's (Justin Chin's company) new project.

jannar85
Anyway... I'm not buying a game - if it's not an adventure game!!! LucasArts should really make JUST adventure games to us!!! But if you are tired of waiting, then you can press this link (http://saturn.spaceports.com/~dosuser/linkw.jpg) and there is many good adventure games made with Adventure Game Studio. Check it out!
