Air Juggernaut
Also the posibility of fly any craft, for example an ISD, with it own cockpit etc. This will make more files on the CD but personally I preffer it instead of cutscenes. It'd be like a toggle to deactivate breaking thrusters so that when you cut throttle (or get ionized), you keep going on inertia. I'm sick and tired of ionizing enemy craft and then having to swerve to avoid them when they suddenly stop.
Air Juggernaut
Yes, they stop like if they got a lighting. Vectoring thrusters sounds cool, also when manouvering with the engines out.
BattleDog
One thing, has to Afterburner!
Keyan Farlander
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111oneoneoneone No afterburners is what sets the X-Wing games apart. It makes energy management important and adds some thinking to the game. Add them and you take all that away.
Nute Gunray
plus not a single star wars fighter has anything remotely like afterburners.
Keyan Farlander
Yeah, the last thing you want it to "de-Star Wars" the series.
Air Juggernaut
Hmmm, not many votes for now . LA will not be impressed.
Keyan Farlander
LA wouldn't be impressed if every single person on the planet begged them for something.
CaptainRAVE
Id definatly like to see an expansion. But I think this time theyd definatly have to make a mix of missions imperial/rebel to make the game interesting, otherwise the series is going to get boring. We all like to play the bad guys now and again
Keyan Farlander
Not me. TIE Fighter was different, but now it's been done, and I don't want to be the bad guy anymore. It sort of creeps me out, actually.
CaptainRAVE
Gave you the creeps??.....lol, it was great fun being the enemy
Guest Mal *Nexsis*
I'd like to see some customization on fighters, like more armor, shields, weapons, engine options and even paint variations. Maybe even some quests you can chose from, including picking sides or even playing both sides. Just a though on what I'd like to see.
CaptainRAVE
Paint variations?? I really dont expect to see the empire painting their tie fighters
edlib
I think it would be cool if they went back to BEFORE the Rebellion. Back to the early days of the Empire, as it was expanding and excerting authority in the first systems it came across. It would be cool to play a resistance fighter in one of those systems, perhaps one of the ones who originally organizes the Alliance. It would be a SW story arc we have never seen before. Perhaps, if the creators really wanted to be ambitious, they could carry the character straight through until after the death of the Empire and the destruction of the DSII, and the subsequent mop-up missions afterward. Now THAT would be interesting to me!
Rogue Nine
I think most of us would like a game that would follow more of the X-wing series canon. That's something I would buy without hesitation. Plus a few new ships to thrash around in wouldn't hurt either.
greycellgreen
Limited inertia on a disabled craft is a good idea... but theoretically (proper physics) the craft would keep moving close to forever... better would be for the thing to slow down to a stop over a short period of time. Otherwise a disabled craft will fly far far away from the action and this would screw up craft that have to capture it.
CaptainRAVE
Yup, in space if no external forces are applied then it would go on forever. Gravitational pulls would eventually affect it though and it would probably get pulled into a planet.
