Nitro Posted December 12, 2001 Posted December 12, 2001 I need this picture at home, but virtually every freemail site is blocked at school, so I'm just gonna post it here and download it at home...
Air Juggernaut Posted December 13, 2001 Posted December 13, 2001 What?, is a guide to buy any?, they have it in purple? A guide of A-bombs, to boring, all are the same, a stupid ball that kill a lot of people.
Nitro Posted December 13, 2001 Author Posted December 13, 2001 In my InfoPro class, for my final PowerPoint project, I'm doing a big slideshow on the Manhattan Project... My partner and I decided on that image for the front slide, but I need to edit the text out of it at home with Photoshop... The school has every freemail site I could think of blocked, so I couldn't email it home, and if I'd written down the URL I probably would of lost it or forgotten... But this way I see it first thing when I get on the computer...
Nitro Posted December 13, 2001 Author Posted December 13, 2001 Yeah, well, unfortunatly my school decided to use a virus scanner that hasn't been updated since 1997... Not even the definitions... Sticking a diskette in there would be tantamount to sticking a lollypop into a manure pile... Thanks but no thanks.
Nitro Posted December 13, 2001 Author Posted December 13, 2001 It's been edited... But I needed the original analogy to get my point across...
Nitro Posted December 14, 2001 Author Posted December 14, 2001 Errrr... Were you referring to the thread or my analogy?
Nitro Posted December 14, 2001 Author Posted December 14, 2001 Not yet.. I need somewhere to post the edited image...
Zargon Posted December 14, 2001 Posted December 14, 2001 hahaahaahhaah, and not all a-bombs ar the same, the H-bomb is the same category, and the Neutron bomb now......
Nitro Posted December 15, 2001 Author Posted December 15, 2001 The atomic cannon. A 280 mm nuclear howitzer, 15 kilotons... Same strength as what the US nailed Hiroshima with... Only in a travel-sized form... It has a range of 20 miles, and the US built 20 of them... Only 6 appear to have survived the cold war, and they're on display at museums across the US.
Rogue Nine Posted December 15, 2001 Posted December 15, 2001 That's insane. Fifteen kilotons? Geez...
Nitro Posted December 16, 2001 Author Posted December 16, 2001 I mean, just imagine holding off a beach assault... Just sit back a few miles and shell the excrement out of 'em.
Nitro Posted December 16, 2001 Author Posted December 16, 2001 I still need you, my little thread... Don't die on me!
Ikhnaton Posted December 17, 2001 Posted December 17, 2001 the thread isn't going anywhere Nitro. no need to keep upping it.
Cmdr. Cracken Posted December 17, 2001 Posted December 17, 2001 But nitro is in love with this thread.
Nute Gunray Posted December 17, 2001 Posted December 17, 2001 That picture is flipped. In the footage that's taken from, the gun was in the lower left hand corner firing to the right. There's a slightly larger artillery shell nuke they built that fires out the standard 105mm howitzer that is currently deployed in South Korea.
Keyan Farlander Posted December 17, 2001 Posted December 17, 2001 It's frightening that Nute knows enough about atomic weapons to identify a single flipped image. I fully intend to live in an area that's not worth nuking when he starts his bid for power.
Nute Gunray Posted December 17, 2001 Posted December 17, 2001 Don't worry, in a war of conquest I wouldn't use nuclear weapons as the weapons would destroy the very things I'm try to conquer. I would use a careful combination of chemical and fragmentation weapons. This would: 1) on the battlefield, force troops out of the low areas due to the heavier than air chemical weapons I would use but compell them to seek cover in the face of fragmentation weapons 2) force the enemy to issue chemical protection gear to his troops 3) instill fear in his civilian populous, causing them to demand chemical protection gear for themselves 4) force production of chemical protection gear and divert precious resources from other areas. I HAVES PLANS.
