Taarkin Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 I haven't been able to play OFP yet. I have to wait for my roomate's boyfriend to come install my new 3D card. I don't trust myself.
Nukekitty Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 Yeah Yeah, I know there are pics from some cons with me wearing silk pjs floating around here somewhere. AHHHHH but sweetie, when I see you next we will be at your parents, and I seriously dont think your mother would appreciate it if I wore them, hehe. (I cant believe I am coming up there to meet them soon. )
Jem Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 OFP is already old... it's a great game and I really enjoyed it, still would if my computer was still operational... I finished it a long time ago and I bet that all of you who are new to it will get stuck in the: *SPOILER* mission where you're lost and all alone in the woods with soviets everywhere *END OFSPOILER* hehe, good luck, you'll need it. My favorite thing in the game is the mission editor, so cool, I know almost all of the command lines... Anyone cares to try my first (not bad) mission? Now I'm waiting to get my hands on the many OFP mods that are coming out: - Operation Vietnam (this is the one I really need to have!) - Star wars (this should be very interesting)
K_Kinnison Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 who cares what my mom thinks.... *sigh*... i guess i will have to wait a little while longer, it will be worth it.
Deac Posted January 7, 2002 Author Posted January 7, 2002 On the Games front, I got: Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds Star Trek: Armada 2 Arcanum They all rule! I had my first encounter with a Borg fusion cube (8 regular cubes joined to make one HUGE one) It destroyed about 25 ships before my fleet of 16 sovereign class ships blew it up without a scratch!
Rogue Nine Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 Sovereign-class ships? Damn...that musta cost a bunch if you had 16 of them.

Deac Posted January 8, 2002 Author Posted January 8, 2002 Ships are cheaper, but you have more resources to get. You have to colonise planets to get crew, you also have to get metal as well as dilithium. You need latinum to get the Corbomite Reflector.
Rogue Nine Posted January 9, 2002 Posted January 9, 2002 Which means it still costs a bunch to manufacture...geez.
Deac Posted January 13, 2002 Author Posted January 13, 2002 Did you here that the leader of your unit in OFP was modeled on a Brit MP! Its true!
Commander 598 Posted January 14, 2002 Posted January 14, 2002 Yeah so. Did you know that a special version of OFP is being made as a Military Simulator. In fact theres a special version of that being made for the United States Marine Corp.' Virtual Battlefield Systems-VBS1
Commander 598 Posted January 14, 2002 Posted January 14, 2002 Lets see... I would estimate it at 88% of Earth's population.
Jem Posted January 14, 2002 Posted January 14, 2002 There's also a Star Wars version coming out, it's true.
