sheaday6
Hiya punks, i'm making a spiffy little fan-game based off the Fizzball comic thats in the back of the Sam & Max: Surfin' the Highway collection. If you got any suggestions on the "interface" or features of the game, do tell. Nothing 3D please, or difficult:bored: (I don't wanna be doin' too much work). For those who haven't read the Fizzball comic: The basic premise is to chuck a beer can and have the other person hit it with an axe handle (or a primitive looking stick), and have it explode. I'm drawing a blank on how i want to do this, i could use some ideas.
digl
I hope you dont have problems with LEC
Schmatz
Ditto.... all that work would be for nothing.
sheaday6
don't worry about it, i looked some stuff up. there's a "Fair Usage" something-or-rather law. Its like drawing interactive fan-art (bad example, but it'll work)
Setion
What are you using to do it?
sheaday6
well that all depends on the interface of the game, which i'll decide after i get some suggestions
Setion
Power bar, direction, difficulty, isometric.
Metallus
Point, Click, 2D, Adventure.
sheaday6
i don't think i need direction. I was kinda thinking of one bar that moves up and down really fast, and when you click it stops. And where it stops determines what kind of explosion the beer can makes. In the comic there are "Fizzball Phenomenon" which are different explosions, i thought i'd use those somehow. or something like that.
sheaday6
adventure? how would i do that?
Setion
You are on a quest for the perfect exploding beer can, which involves a zany story and cast of characters.
sheaday6
i was kind of hoping for it to be a dinky baseball-ish game
Setion
<fade in> Crash, the all time Fizzball champion of the world is troubled. He can't find the perfect explosion. That, and someone has stolen his famed bludgeoning stick, used on such fizzball hall of famers such as the infamous beer can of skelter drive, and the whisky bott le behind the Timbly Tumble Laundromat. On his quest to retrive his famous can whooper, and the perfect explosion, he comes along a zany cast of characters such as Hung Over Hamster, and Blip, the fat out of work window washer who still has a fear of squeejeez (yea, it's the wrong spelling, sue me). Along his way Crash comes across many different cans and bashing objects, along with an arsenal of enemies, obstructions, and side quests. <fade out> Or you could just do a 2d game with a different explosion based upon 3 factors. Your power, where you hit the can, and what you hit it with.
