3. The dead and banned would roam the forums, spamming and flaming would be all that is left, the sacrificing of virgins would be daily. Total mayhem. :D

If the need for new mods arise, me and Chris are in charge of picking members from the community and promote them to mod status.

So far, Chris chose Leon and Lord Jay, but I was the one who picked Rhett. As you can see, we only pick the best of the best. And by that, I don't mean the post count, but the quality in the posts. Disponibility is also in the equation.

My story is completely different. A few months ago, even before this site (GB.com) was born, I posted a "console analysis" at the jkii.net board. Zero and Chris saw it, and they thought I would make a good editor for their upcoming project, LucasConsoles.com. So I'm part of the LucasGames staff since before GB.com. Chris made me a Super Moderator here as a test of my moderating skills.

I still don't know if I passed the test! :)

I could almost swear to God that you'll never become a mod.

It's .0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% in 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years that you'll be one.

Yes, I've asked to become a mod at roguesquadron.net, but only one of the newer admins gave me the position, but only in 1 forum where nobody ever posts anything for me to moderate.

Well, as I said you have to (in order of importance):

1) Make good posts. Encourage intelligent discussion, not spamming. It's the best way to become a mod AND a valuable member here.

2) There has to be a demand. We don't promote mods for fun here, there must be positions open.

3) Be available. If you can only get online once a week, it's pretty pointless to promote you to moderator.

4) Type well. Although this is facultative, we favor people who use correct punctuation and grammar in their posts.

Tip about #2: When LucasConsoles launches, I'll be in charge of the forums there as well as the site. I'll be looking for 2 or 3 mods to help me there. I will use the criterias described above to choose them.

I'm not sure about Lucas Consoles but this site is a major yes...

1) I do (I think please inform me if otherwise)

2) that is the big problem isn't it...well if you are going to have a Senate discussion forum...I want in...if not...then when you ever have an opening I want in...

3) I'm here at all hours of the day...

4) I type well...exept on a few mistakes...

Yeah fergie, I know you'd qualify for a mod. But as you said, #2 is the problem - we don't need another one for now.

Just look at Lord Jay; he hasn't been as much active as the others are, because there simply isn't enough work to do...for now.

Things got pretty quiet here after the departure of our beloved friend, viper...

Rommel, you don't spam anymore. I know you wish you never spammed... We don't look at the past too much when choosing mods, we look at their current behavior.

Besides, your spamming days seem sooo long ago...
