Naphtali
first off do you think that the reborn if they come in frequently during all the levels that theyll dull the saber fighting? Will you like it? Will you get tired of fighting mini saber duels with Reborn during the levels, Or do you think that raven made it so no matter what the boss saber battles will always be more challanging? Or will it ultimately take the luster off saber battles after a time? Soory for the long questios but i wont to include everyones opinion in this if it is the case. If you say "I have to wait to play it" the please elaborate .Some more questions about the pst 2 games Secondly I wanted to ask you all out their what is your favorite all time favorite level for mots since its dying out. I have to say mines was a tale of a , mercenary. Next what was your favorite battles in MOTs or JK again i have to say It was with maw, the music, your powers have grown, and it is a perfect setting. Or will it ultimately take the luster off saber battles after a time? I think that the reborn will come during unexpected curcumstances which should add to the realism and 'high nerves' situation while playing JK2.... I do hope that each Reborn you meet would become harder and harder to beat, as to challenge you to a higher degree. I doubt that I would get tired of Saber Fighting, but I expect some variety in some fights Secondly I wanted to ask you all out their what is your favorite all time favorite level for mots since its dying out. I have to say mines was a tale of a , mercenary. Well.... I never played MotS actually Does this mean I am going to miss a big chunk of the story of JK2?? awww... could someone maybe give me the sauce of MotS maybe? or the important happenings... so I at least get an overall Idea what I am jumping into, kthxbye Next what was your favorite battles in MOTs or JK again i have to say It was with maw, the music, your powers have grown, and it is a perfect setting. I just really enjoyed the game, and also following through on each level - trying to figure out puzzles and defeating baddies, finding secrets - all that good stuff My Favorite battle would be with iether Gork and Pic (because its funny to see them attack each other sometimes) and Sariss. I can't wait for JK2's Music 'flow' throughout the game, it's going to be a real show!! Cheers
Desslock
A lot of this game (and I do mean a LOT ) is resting on the saber system. So far I've been impressed, but its one of those things you cant judge until you experience it for yourself.
SlowbieOne
Hey AB legion, the basic plot for MotS is Kyle slowly turns to the dark side, then Mara must go to the Sith temple and save him. There are many more details of course, but that's basically it.
lonepadawan
I really like the tales of a mercenary series, but I really really like birth of a mercanary SE. Its prologue etc make it seem like actually being in a movie..
Rogue15
MOTS RULES!!!!!!! Follow me to the heart of the temple, feel the power embrace you as your jedi powers FAIL you!!!!!!! -Kyle Katarn hehehe MotS has the coolest lines... WARNING: SPOILERS!!! 5 4 3 2 1 Here's some of the storyline of mots: You start out as Kyle, 2 asteroids reveal themselves as enemy ships, and deploy tie bombers, tie fighters, stormtroopers, and scout troopers down at the New Republic base on Altyr 5 (or is it 4..) Kyle has to steal one of their shuttles, get on one of the asteroids, find the control panel, blow the other asteroid, activate the self destruct, and get the heck out of there. Kyle tells mara he's going to Dromund Kaas cause he was hearing rumors of a sith temple there...mara wants to go, but kyle urges her to stay and help the New Republic.. Then you play as Mara Jade, and must visit Ka'Pa the Hutt's palace, and get some supplies for the new republic base, Ka'Pa makes you track down his rival, Takara, who has stolen a communications device (i think...) and you go to a spaceport, follow Takara's top lieutenant, Abron Mar, and he traps you, and you're thrown in prison. You must escape the prison, fight a rancor, and grab the comm device on your way out, Ka'pa has some guys who will bring you to safety...then you must 'babysit' a cargo ship, which is carrying a Holocron, vital to the New Republic...Kaerobani's pirates knock the cargo ship out of hyperspace with an interdictor cruiser, and attempt to steal the holocron, they succeed, and you must sneak into one of the cargo crates, and get inside their base. Once you do that, you hear that the holocron is being shipped to Kaerobani's palace, so you must find the transport that's leaving for it....once you get in the transport and onto the base, you must find the holocron. Once you do, you have to get to a fighter and get out of there. Then mara goes to look for Kyle since he hasn't reported back...That's when you get on Dromund Kaas, and search for the Sith Temple, and Kyle....when you find Kyle, he's on crack...i mean he's all psyched about his new-found powers, mara tries to talk some sense into him, he doesn't listen, and runs deeper into the temple, and you gotta go looking for him. Then he tests your skills in one area, when you get him, he runs away. Then when u find him again, you don't fight him (i don't know, haven't gotten that far yet...) and he realizes what he's been doing, and that is where Jedi Outcast comes in. I suggest you buy MotS, it's ONLY $15. 1 2 3 4 5 [/spoilerS] [Edit - Stormy - just for anyone who doesn't want to read about MotS. Hope you don't mind, Rogue. ]

Well, he could still buy it cause I didn't tell him what the levels looked like. db6
I would really hate it if they have a "cliche" in the storyline, such as Jan having to die, and Kyle shouting "NOOOOO" then disappearing. Maybe even Kyle ??dying?? at the end of Outcast since he's too old to continue the series anyway?
Pedro The Hutt
I dunno.. Obi-Wan was still a butt kicking Jedi up to the end of his life ^^" But yeah, I'm not exactly interesting in seeing a cliché either. (and is that Vash I see in your in your avatar?) db6
Yep, that's "Vash the Stampede" himself. And that's probably Sano from the Kenshin series in your avatar. Anyway, if they are going to kill off Kyle, they would probably introduce a younger character in the Jedi training academy; let's just hope they have better "surprises" up their sleeves. Fabba The Kabin
Hi Everybody! This is my first post on the forum! I have recently pre-ordered JK2 from gameplay.com (good value if you live in the UK) and have read a PCGamer UK review which gave it 92% so I really hope that the lightsaber combat it up to scratch. This is the thing i'm most worried about though as it could make or break the game as far as I'm concerned. But I trust PCGamer which said it was great. grumpycrab
"Is their something that you think will ruin it. and what is your favorite.... " I'm not sure about ruin it but the game will be too short (under 10 hours on medium difficulty). But if it's a quality product it should be ok. (I just hope Raven haven't taken too many games on at once.) This is the reason I think it may be delayed a couple of months. -- Grumps
Rogue15
it's gonna last longer than 10 hours....u can do mock saber battles with the bots!!!!!!

The Bothan Spy
If you ask me, having loads of enemies that have lightsabers and use the Force make it far less special to be a Jedi. They should left the lightsaber on lightsaber (hardcore!!) action for the boss levels, and multiplayer. In S.P, the feeling of being a lone Jedi going up against hordes of Stormtroopers (in JK) was great, one of the few "believable" scenarios for a FPS. And also, I still think they should have set it later in the Star Wars timeline, so you could fight the Yuuzhan Vong!! They rock! http://www.petitiononline.com/yvkj2/

StormHammer
Welcome to the forums, Fabba the Kabin. Hope you enjoy your stay. Here... *hands over a chocolate Jedi Medallion*... There you go. On the question of Saber fights in the SP campaign, I'm all for it. I do truly hope that we don't just end up with some Duel Levels, which are just big enough to swing a cat in. I'd prefer if you had a few random encounters, and had the freedom of a larger part of a level to duel in - even to protect innocent NPC bystanders from attack by the Reborn to make it more challenging. Or maybe you have to chase them down...or they lead you into an ambush... These are some of the aspects of MotS that I liked, and it would be great to see such scenarios in JKII. I don't just want to see some confined Jedi Duel levels recreated for JKII. It would be nice if we, as the player, could choose where on a level we want to take on our saber-wielding adversaries for a change. Instead of being trapped in one small location... As for making the duels harder...well, if you start off with just fighting one Reborn on one level...then have to face 3 or more simultaneously on another level...then that is obviously going to be far more challenging, IMHO. Maybe some of the Reborn should also get tougher (faster, smarter, more force powers) in the later levels as a run up to the showdown with the main baddie. Woad
"which are just big enough to swing a cat in" What a great expression. Anyways. Really my only concern, one I don't really see as capable of ruining the game, is the physics of the lightsaber. Some of the trailers look a bit odd when it comes to the saber, some posters described it as baseball bat-like, it seems to knock enemies around in a brutal instead of graceful way. Obiwan described the lightsaber as an elegant weapon, I really hope we see this to a degree in JKO.

Master Sam
I think that the reborn will come during unexpected curcumstances which should add to the realism and 'high nerves' situation while playing JK2.... Exactly, one thing I didn't like about the saber battles in JK was that you couldnt really vary how the fight happened. [i.e. - When fighting maw you couldnt force push him off the edge cause he floated, but if you turn a corner and see a reborn standing there, next to a cliff. You can fight him or even just position yourself to force push him off. (I'm not saying this particular scenario will happen, but it might)] Also, the saber fights were pretty restricted to one small (or big, but still yet ONE area) area. When fighting the reborn, you will more than likely be able to cary your battle from where it starts, to over more than one area. Making it much more cinematic. NoodlyGod
I'm worried that they're won't be enough enemy variants to keep my interest. And the trailer hasn't really done anything to show me otherwise. Stormtrooper, alien guy, stormtrooper, reborn... that looks like it's about it. I would strongly prefer it if there were some differences in the reborn you fight, rather than fighting 3 of the exact same people at once maybe one would be dressed in black, or have a different colored sabre etc. I still hope the game will be a blast but I'm worried it's going to be repetetive. (As far as the enemies go, I don't really doubt that I'll enjoy the game, but I'm thinking by the end I'll be looking for something differrent to kill.)
