Darth Simpson
Jedi Outcast at #1, but there are so many games I'm looking forward to this year, so I don't really have a list after JO.

OnlyOneCanoli
JKII for me, although you left off several excellent looking games. And the odds of JKII not winning this poll are 3720:1.
Sounds Risky
Halo. None of those games even interest me besides Jedi Outcast.
xwing guy
Jk2 for me, but you left out a lot of good games. SOF2, Halo for PC, there's some others that I can't think of right now that are gonna be pretty good.

StarScrap
Ummm.....can you POSSIBLY ignore Warcraft 3? BLIZZARD IS A SLEDGEHAMMER!!!! Sorry for the strange metaphor, but let's look at Blizzard releases. Warcraft: Never played it personally, sorry. Warcraft II: Revolutionary. Still played w/ B.net eddition. Starcraft: Revolutionary. Still played by LOTS of people. Still considdered one of the very best. Diablo: In the beginning there were only good things to say about this game. Successfully combined RPG and action. Diablo II: Ever noticed that most of the complaints about Diablo appeared after Diablo II was released. Compared to the second here, Diablo is a shallow, poorly thought out, hack and slash misfit. And that's saying a lot.

Bowen
Does anybody remember a then revolutionary game by 3D Realms called "Prey"? It was the first game to feature 'Skeletal Animation' and it the game was nearly completed once and about half or three quarters completed again with a new engine and a new lead programmer. I'm beginning to wonder if 3D Realms is doing the same thing with Duke Nukem: Forever. First they were using the Quake II engine I think, then scrapped it and went to the Unreal engine. The last I heard they were using the Unreal Tournament engine. It was sort of cool at first when they said the date was "When it's done" but that's not so funny after at least 4 years (going on 5) past when it was due to come out. Hey....maybe if they wait long enough they can use the Quake IV engine or the Unreal II or UT II engine!!

Chanke4252
I didnt really like the warcraft series after I realized that it wasnt the strategy that I was looking for. Any type of strategy game has to be as realistic as possible for me to enjoy it. I want the oportunity to go into battle with superior numbers and be able to have them completely destroyed by the other side due to their superior strategic thinking, and vice versa. I dont really enjoy warcraft and starcraft's "CHAAAARGE!!!" theme.

Bowen
I just read at the Duke Nukem: Forever forums yesterday that DNF has been pushed back until 2003! Really! I cannot confirm this and I don't think it's an official announcement but I'm not sure since I visit the DNF forums about twice a year but I'll check and see. I think it's pretty funny though that a couple of days ago I was joking that DNF would not be released until 3002 though. Here is the link to the DNF forum if want to waist time on a game that will apparently never come out. http://forums.3drealms.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum&f=10&DaysPrune=

StormHammer
Originally posted by Bowen Gee, I can see just how many people remeber Prey....hehe Yes, I remember Prey. I followed the development of the game from the first announcement, downloaded all the pretty screenies...and then found out they'd put it on the back-burner before it was finally axed. It looked promising, so it was a bit of shame they killed it. Mind you, as I recall, a few other games started to appear that looked just as good, and also used portal tech. and coloured lighting. BTW...it's strange seeing your name on the forums...cos it just happens to be mine. As for the game I want most this year... Heh. That's a really tough call. Obviously I want JKII along with everybody else...but I suppose the next on my list of absolute must-haves would be Unreal II. There are many more...but I won't bore you. I dont really enjoy warcraft and starcraft's "CHAAAARGE!!!" theme. A few things to say to that. 1) While Warcraft is almost devoid of the said, Starcraft does have it if you get good enough. A few units dropped in the back along with a frontal assault can vastly increase the damage. While unit to unit confrontations are almost always decided by numbers, the trick is getting around the units. 2) What you're looking for is a tactics game, not a strategy game. 3) I've recently been toying with the idea of a strategy game in which you can assign units to a set number of computer controlled "generals", and assign them tasks. Possible orders could be to correlate their attacks with the attacks of units xyz, to wait x amount of time then go in from this angle, type of attack (hit and run, skirmish, drop, frontal assault etc.). This is just a little idea of mine that I thought of.
