....I was wondering if there was a cog for 'light switches' so u can turn the lighting off in a sector, but i don't think i'll do that...cause i'd go crazy with it and put one of those in every sector. lol

 

And this is a bad thing WHY?!!?!?!?!

 

The fighting room thing didn't really work, it didn't allow me to use fists or lightsaber...:rolleyes: so i took that out.

 

Can't you just put lightsabers in....?

 

So far the level FEELS like a building, oh one more thing i did, i made the elevator shafts more real, no more sniping down on players while going up...I found out how to survive a huge drop down one of them...all i had to do was stay against the wall the elevator switch was on lol.

 

It definitely feels like a building cuz of the high ceilings and boxy corridors...IGNORE anyone from massassi who thinks boxy=a bad thing just because it's easy :rolleyes:

 

I might use this one cog i found that's supposed to turn the lights on and off repeatedly in a sector or something like that (torture room anyone???) hehehehe

What else should i add.....o yes, i need to add the medic room or something like that, it'll have some healths...(no revives tho)

 

Yeah. they wouldn't have shields in a med center :D

Everything is basically done on the second floor....kinda. I think i'll put an atpt on each floor...so people can have a gunnery station thing, and give a little tactical approach, etc. hehe

 

Anyways, the level is going pretty well. Can't wait to texture it all! :D

 

The atpts aren't very useful...but they are pretty cool :D

 

Maybe you could put blaster cannons on the level? (since they can be, well, aimed?)

 

The level is awesomely lag-free so far...which is a good thing, since it's only getting bigger, lol.

 

(BTW about the Psp thing, it wouldn't download cuz my computer decided it didn't want to download anything else at the moment. >.<)

nah, the blaster cannons....they don't look right when someone is 'sitting' on them...lol it looks dorky. hehe

 

I was told at massassi that boxy isn't a bad thing if you texture it right. And don't worry...It WILL be textured RIGHT. hehehe

 

I'll have 1 atpt on each floor, so it'll be like a guard thing....I need to add more sniper points in...maybe i'll add a 'coke' machine. (depending if i can get a coke machine 3do lol)

 

If i ever run out of ideas, i'll head to RSN Inventory. :D

 

I think I'll finish up the first floor today and get started on the Second Floor! :D

 

hehehehe I hope the elevators work like i want them to....

First Floor pretty much done. Adjoined the elevator shaft to Second floor with no problems. :) umm...only ONE MINOR problem, which can be fixed by myself...kinda sux, but ....it shouldn't be that bad if someone at massassi shows me how to get the elevator past the first floor. Now I begin work on first floor layout. (the member and guest rooms hehehe)

ok, got the first elevator to work how i wanted it to, thanks to MikeC at massassi for showing me what cog to use. :D

 

uh...I have like 1/2 of the 3rd floor done. (needed an elevator to get to it lol) I have that cog figured out now....So it's on to finishing up the elevators. :) (i got it so the elevator stays where u make it go instead of automatically going back down) It's pretty cool. :) *returns to his work* I'll upload the overhead view later...

R15 and I beta tested for several hours...the level's awesome once you get used to the layout, especially when the powerups and textures are added. :D

 

Ran perfectly with two, then three people at once, with conc and rail det galore...then Rommel joined and it lagged like hell, which was either cuz I have a 56 K and it was four people, or it could have just been Rommel.

 

R15, you need to make a topic for ideas of things to add to the level...better make sure you write that not all of them would be accepted :D

 

BTW...I still think blaster cannons are a great idea...cuz they make sense and can be aimed...to guard doors etc...but the atpts, while they look cool, are totally useless since the fire rate is so bad, rails have little splash damage, and they can't be aimed.

 

I think you should add blaster cannons...:D

lol i'll change their rate of fire....blaster cannons don't look right...when someone is 'on' them, they're not sitting down like they're supposed to. I'll add some more things to give the players an advantage...sniper stands. hehehehe I might put in a thermal detonator trap....

wow. the 3rd floor is going to rock. hehehehehe ice has his own hallway! :D (i'll be sure to put a trap that freezes the player in a sector or something like that. heheheheheeh and allows the person to go down the hallway and pick the helpless victim off. hehehe i'm not putting carbonite guns or seeker detonators in the level as weapons. just as traps. :D

ok the layout is almost all done. btw i added some MORE rooms...since wade, rfh, and a few others didn't have any...i had to make room in Flarestar for them. either they get their breakfast first or they're the cooks...hehehehehe

it's all coming together nicely, the basic layout of it, that is. I'm done architecturing the first story floor...just need to add in 3dos.

 

The second floor Is 3/4 architecture done

 

The third floor is only 1/2 done.
