Keiran Halcyon
quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally posted by Redwing When I said "come again" I meant "I don't understand". They were free in JP3 too (just went back in the broken cages) and besides, the Pteranodons in TLW were different. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In JPIII they are not free: remember when Amanda and Erik leave the cage the door opens <--- (showing us this means that they escape after) I think they mess the movies up because they changed the look of the dinos (not intending to be subspecies) because of new discoveries (e.g: feathers in raptors) And putting Pteros in the cage (as they should have been always) without thinking on LW. And why in the end of LW they didn't put Pteros flying from the island to the world? Althoug the movies are cool and with our 'suppositions' they mach together ====> I found the reason of why Ellie is not married to Alan: she is married with one person that works in the government---> that is how Ellie called the army and the marines, if not they shouldn't hear she (and tell she 'embrace the inevitable' ). They needed it. A shame because well, its odd not being married each other...
Keiran Halcyon
I just realised that JPIII pteranodons have TEETH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Not having teeth was one of the main chararteristics of pteros!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rogue15
NEW DINOSAUR FOUND IN CHINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG IT'S AN OSTRICH!!!! well, it looks like one to me...it even has feathers!!!! cool!
Redwing
@ R15: That = not particularly new @Kieran: The pteros could never have survived if they had been stuck in cages for that long. Besides, they had a nest outside the cages. As for the teeth, they were likely engineered that way...? =/ Remember...they'd run into alot of stuff that was different. Like the Spinosaurus itself. It wasn't on InGen's list of created dinosaurs. Alan wonders what else they were hiding from them...(foreshadowing anyone? ) I think we can expect a JPIV. They left plenty of loose ends to be exploited---unlike the other two movies---which means they want to make another sequel! (I hope it's as good as its predecessors )
Rogue15
but Dan Rather introduced it just 2 nights ago... hmm i think i'll get that new article... http://www.msnbc.com/local/pencilnews/310767.asp#BODY found it.
Keiran Halcyon
maybe Redwing wanted to say that lots of dinos had feathers.... @Kieran: The pteros could never have survived if they had been stuck in cages for that long. Besides, they had a nest outside the cages. As for the teeth, they were likely engineered that way...? =/ They didn't have nests outside----> remember that i said that they shown us the door being left opened. TLW pteros are other species (they said it in a JP forums) And i know that they couldnt have survived--->i think that they didn't thought about that And yes JPIV is going to be released about 2005 or more (i hope ) not totally official though..... Rogue15
I think the door being opened was from the spinosaurus.
Keiran Halcyon
See the movie again pal! Its the same door that tries to close (and thinks that does) amanda after escaping the 'birdcage'.
Redwing
Kieran, don't you remember the kid getting dropped into the ptero nest? There's no reason in the world the pteros would have been stuck in the cage all that time. It makes no sense and it's based on nothing in the movie =/ Of course they'd have thought of it---! The door was shown open to show that the pteros had a path to follow the heroes by. @R15: About the feathered dino...it's nothing new. It's alot like the other Chinese feathered dinos discovered in the past few years. The guys who believe dinos evolved to birds just want to make a big deal out of it, so the public thinks they've "proved" it. :rolleyess

Keiran Halcyon
The nest is into the aviary! Its a HUGE aviary, thats it....
Redwing
OK Keiran. Do you know how easy it is for animals to escape from unmaintained cages? Did you see the aviary cover in the SKY above the nest? Do you know how fast bad weather can destroy enough parts of a mesh aviary to let the animals out, especially with no power? Remember how easy it was for the animals to get out in Jurassic Park when the power went out?
Keiran Halcyon
ITS A HUGE AVIARY! I have been in a JP forum and most peolpe think the same as me Its rigid, no cables so its more difficult to broke than JP PS: did you know that the Ceratosaurus was a Carnotaurus in the script? Redwing
Oh. Well... But FYI: Rigid cables are easier to break than others, since they can't take pressure---don't bend
Keiran Halcyon
I meant for the pteros: flying you can't make much presure, and with beacks... Well, forget it New things: Dilophosaurus spite vemon and have frills because its an error from the mixture with frog DNA, croba and australian frill lizard Raptors are so big because hammond wanted it to seem more dangerous (stupid old man ) Pteros have teeth because another error T-Rex has a different skull than in reality because of the frog DNA i think that these explanations appear in a book called 'JP Institute dinosaur filed guide'

In the books, Dilophosaurus naturally spat venom (it very well could have in real life) but the frill wasn't there. Lol. Bet Hammond regretted messing with the raptors Not all the pteros had teeth...more evidence that Hammond was messing with them quite alot then he let on The Rex thing doesn't make sense....the skull was almost right...any aberrances could've been explained away...but the frog DNA thing still makes a lil bit of sense. This was explained anyway by Grant in JP3---he pointed out that the dinosaurs were "genetically engineered theme park monsters". They weren't complete copies of real life. Rogue15
ya that t. rex skull was almost perfect. I got to see one at the ripley's believe it or not museum, it was huge! and the teeth are 1 foot long...I'd like to see some raptor skeletons up close someday...
