Zoom Rabbit Posted March 26, 2002 Posted March 26, 2002 *Sigh* The rabbit is confused. I signed up a new Hotmail account the other day, and when I try to log on...it keeps shoving me into an upgraded account (which costs $money) instead of showing me my fricking mailbox! Is MSN Hotmail no longer free? Has the Great Sat--I mean, philanthropist billionaire Bill Gates, chosen to squeeze the pockets of the free internet world? Wally the space dolphin is not concerned with stuff like e-mail existance or cyber economy, having just returned from a terrestrial visit with many wise elder ocean dolphins who live far from man in a reef off an uninhabited island where he spoke with them about many of their daily concerns, including the nature of truth, thermoclines, the peaceful integration of fresh-kill carnivore behavior with nonviolent tenets and the increasing worldwide use of propellors.
edlib Posted March 26, 2002 Posted March 26, 2002 I read something about that the other day, how M$ was trying to force new users into a pay service. I still have a free MSN account and they haven't tried to get me to pay for it yet. CNet Hotmail article Yahoo mail is still free, and completely unrelated to Microshaft. I keep a junk account there, and it seems to work fine. Only 4 Mbs though, then you have to pay to get more space. There are plenty of others. Just type "Free e-mail" into Google search and see what comes up.
Kylilin Posted March 27, 2002 Posted March 27, 2002 Yeah I got that not too long ago after I logged on one day, I forgot what I clicked on, but somehow I got past it...
K_Kinnison Posted March 27, 2002 Posted March 27, 2002 i got an e-mail from hotmail saying that if i upgraed my account i coudl have over 2 k+ of server space for my mail I have a hard time getting to 1k, so i deleted taht e-mail from my account to create mroe space
Zoom Rabbit Posted March 28, 2002 Author Posted March 28, 2002 I knew it! The greedy hogmuncher must be dealt with! *(Dispatches ninja rabbits to Seattle.)*
Kylilin Posted March 29, 2002 Posted March 29, 2002 thats pretty cool, I didn't know the Marines offered email... I think i may sign up for an account...
edlib Posted March 29, 2002 Posted March 29, 2002 I know a guy with an account at beer.com He swears by it. The account, I mean. Well,.. the beverage too, if truth be told.
Zoom Rabbit Posted March 29, 2002 Author Posted March 29, 2002 Problem solved! I opened up an account at Yahoo!.com, then immediately sent Bill Gates an e-mail offering to rent him two square inches of my back yard for the amazingly low price of $19.95 per month. Rabbit = 1 Rat Bastards = 0
edlib Posted March 29, 2002 Posted March 29, 2002 Smart bunny. The less personal information you leave sitting on servers owned by Billy G. the better.
Rogue9 Posted April 3, 2002 Posted April 3, 2002 cept that yahoo's servers are run on MS technology so your not much better off...I've actually been happy with hotmail since before it was microsith and even if they start charging I'll probably pay for it, though my 6 junkmail accounts will have to die.
Zoom Rabbit Posted April 7, 2002 Author Posted April 7, 2002 Bill Gates sure has your number, doesn't he?
Rogue9 Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 actually he has 3 of my numbers including my cell phone they also have my credit card number.
Redwing Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 *hurridly checks hotmail* Good, I'm fine...I just have 72 new messages Oops...
