Templar KoroMis Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 Read this, this really ****** me off, how could George Lucas do this ----------> Boyband N'Sync In Episode 2? [Thu January 03, 2002 09:58PM] Boyband N'Sync will be appearing in the upcoming Star Wars sequel - Attack of the Clones, according to MTV. A spokesperson from LucasFilm has confirmed that some members of the boyband would appear, but didn't know exactly which ones. Apparently the roles materialized after the group members, who are great fans of the series, asked producer Rick McCallum, for bit parts. Also on the trail were the New York Post who also contacted LucasFilm for confirmation, although they say that George Lucas' adopted daughters, Amanda and Katie, helped cast the boyband because they are huge fans of the group. Although the LFL rep contradicts this by saying "that didn't have anything to do with it." Can you belive that, George Lucas's adopted daughters helped cast those morons into the movie, this is a SCI FI, not some celebrity show-off movie, they should be in something like Crossroads, damnit!
OnlyOneCanoli Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 Sorry, man, but this is like four month old news. But you'll be happy to know that they were edited out because of the reactions of the fans. Or that's how it was last I heard.
Templar KoroMis Posted April 8, 2002 Author Posted April 8, 2002 Heh, ooooops, well, I just found out, so i'm having my well deserved reaction =) I am quite ****** off, I hope they did edit it out serves those movie actor wannabe ******* right [Edit - Stormy - your friendly neighbourhood censor-bot ]
Davhowell Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 hey maybe they will be the people running from the clones and they get shot in the face and have those mine crabs shoved up there butt
acdcfanbill Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 they may or may not be in the final cut, just because they shot the footage, doesnt mean george will put it in the final cut... if i were him, i would put it on the DVD as a special scene so all the crazy wacked out NSINK fans will buy the DVD... its more $$ than a ticket... well, actually what i would do, is burn the footage
KordKelly Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 Sorry, I just had to do this... acdcfanbill Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 lol, thats a pretty good one, i ant seen that before...
BrainStorm Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 As long as they are on the receiving end of a lightsabre, I don?t mind N'Stink being in the movie!
Amorpheus Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 They would have been in one scene. For slaughtering. But thanks to the idio-, errm, fans, we won't see that.
Schizophrenic Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 Straight from the trailer. That sure looks like pretty boy Lance to me. It matters not. He'll get cut down by a clone or something. Edit: KordKelly, do you have stairs in your house?

Sounds Risky Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 If you actually watch the trailer you'll find out the clones are on the Republic's side.

Not all of the clones are on the Republic's side, just the ones they created to counter the clones that the bad guys (whoever they are) made. Palpatine: "As my first act, I will create a grand army of the Republic to counter the increasing threats of the Separatists." Plus... Obi-Wan: "They are using a bounty hunter named Jango Fett to create a clone army." I don't think that the Republic would use somebody like Jango as the base for their clones.
D.L. Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 Listen and listen good. I am only going to say this once as it's ******* me off enough as it is at sw.com N*SYNC did not have speaking parts. N*SYNC did not have more than 2 seconds screen time. N*SYNC were not going to sing and dance. They were extras. You probably wouldn't have even seen them on the screen, they would have been gone so fast. End of greatly exagerrated story. Look at all the facts before you get your panties in a twist. Edit: Spelling Errors.
Natopo Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 Those facts are very true. And you know what? This news is super old.

I think I've just confused myself enough to actually NEED to see the film now.

There are far more things about the PM that are breaking tradition and annoying SW fans but i think that AOTC should be a lot better and it should please the fans
Pvt_Dancer Posted April 11, 2002 Posted April 11, 2002 I don't understand why you guys have such animosity towards Nsync. I mean, I don't like their music and I think they portray a shallow and vacuous culture but I don't wish them harm. Neither do I care that they were included in the movie, during a fast paced fight scene where they probably wouldn't have even been noticed. I don't like them personally but they are just a few guys who loved Star Wars... they were probably really psyched to have a bit part in the movie. If it is indeed true that they were cut because of fans running their mouths about something that they didn't have the facts about AND for reasons as empty and shallow as Nsyncs lyrics... thats pretty sad. I wonder what it must feel like to be so happy to have a part in a movie like that only to have a bunch of people voice their disgust for you and be cut from the scene.
jun Posted April 11, 2002 Posted April 11, 2002 N'Sync is the worst ****ing band of the worst ****ing genre ever. shoot all of those ****ers...BSB, NSYNC, 98 deg...etc. they are a disgrace to music. they dont deserve record deals.

Such an intelligent rebuke. Did you take Debate in high school? I don't really care about them being in Ep2 as long as they're merely extras. The thing about it that gets me angry is that Lucas used them simply because his daughter loves them and she wanted them in the movie somehow. That move made Lucas lose a lot of my respect.
SPY_jmr1 Posted April 11, 2002 Posted April 11, 2002 then theres the whole jarjar........ nah to late at nite to think about that....... :D

It was actualy Rick McCallum who drafted them into the film. George Lucas had nothing to do with it. Originally posted by OCH The Clonetroopers look similar to Jango though, what's up with that?
