Jokis
Hopefully this turns out better then my last poll... Please consider class/finesse and intimidation when voting, dont just say "Kyle cause he kicked ass in the game".
The Truthful Liar
I totally say Obi Wan, I mean - cmon He kills Darth Maul and avenges his (sudden) master's death. ALSO, I think he does alot of 'protecting' Little darth vader/anakin in the next movie so he does alot as a Jedi I'm sure. Next is, even though he didn't survive through ESB and RotJ - this was super: "If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine" - now remember, these are 2 buddies that are fighting eachother, not some quick aquaintance like with DMaul. So well... He dies unfortunatly, YET he 'guides' Luke pretty much throughout the entire Trilogy - AGAIN more saving-some-jedi's-ass-because-I-am-the-best scenario. Overall Obi Wan had alot more going than the others, sure Luke was great but... compared to Obi - he was a n00b (pardon the expression) Cheers (ooh ooh ooh, and he also says: "The force will be with you.. always" (WHICH IS THE BEST LINE EVER) as well as: "You cannot escape your destiny" - I mean c'mon, they were the most remembered words EVER. He basically introduced the force to people. So in a way... He 'guides' us all in the movies =D)
CupO'Coffee
well, AB_Legion said everything, gj on this on but: vader is also a good saberman, considering that he is a... block... with oversized sunglasses, thus he should be rather inmobile, which he obviously is not btw: gj on this poll jokis, the last poll was really crappy (j/k)
GonkH8er
Forget this poll. theres a new one at http://www.Lucasarts.com which has many more in it, asking kinda the same thing.... but not really. Go vote Luke's winning. I don't know why. He never really got any vigorous saber training. His fights are pathetic and unpolished. Obiwan's coming second. Fair enough. Windu's coming 3rd. I'll bet he'd come first... but we havent seen him fight yet. White man can't saber Katarns 4th, and the rest are fiddlesticks..

Jedi_Monk
Darth Maul is without a doubt the best sabersman we've yet seen in the Star Wars universe. He might have been defeated by Obi-Wan, but was he defeated in the action of the duel? No, he knocked Obi-Wan into that shaft. Be became overconfident and let his guard down. He bested himself. In all-around skill, look at him. He tackles two Jedi at once and he handles a double-bladed lightsaber without chopping his own arm off. Think about how difficult it would be to maneuver an actual double-bladed lightsaber. I've heard it called a lightstaff, but that doesn't do it justice because with a staff, you can move your hands all along the length of it in a battle. With a double-bladed lightsaber, you have, maybe, a meter-long shaft and then a laserspan of close to two-meters, and if you get your hands tangled up in those lasers, it's gone. Maul might've been defeated, but when it comes to pure skill, he's the master.

Does this mean Luke has the potential to be more dark and sinister, more powerful, then his father? --- I personally say young Anakin, old Darth Vader. Sure he wasnt as dedicated or professional then most (dark) jedi's but at least he can go home at the end of the day knowing that the job got done. List of known accomplishments: Killing Obi Wan - Practically his teacher Knocking off Lukes hand - Uttering those famous lines "I am your father" The king of One-Liners in the classic series - "Impressive...MOST impressive!", "Now the circle is complete" and even better "Now [Obi Wan's] failure is complete." And if Episodes 2 and 3 are of any indication, he's going to be built up as a major kick ass (darkish) Jedi until he finally makes his fall. Which is perfect because he comes full circle at the end by saving his son at the hands of the Emperor. Sure, you can say Obi-Wan "guided" us with the force and through the whole series...but who do we remember the most? The way we were enlightened in the ways of the force, or the way we fear...and quite possibly respect, the Darkside for what it's worth.

ToppDog
Vader killing Obi Wan in ANH was not a great display of his skill as Obi Wan LET HIM WIN. It was more like Obi Wan decided his job here was done & it was time to move on. Remember that when Vader swung at him all he hit was an empty robe which tumbled to the floor. Based on the movies so far Darth Maul was THE MAN! I do think that in the next 2 movies we'll see some kickass stuff from Obi Wan & Anikin though. If these movies would have been made in order, Vader would be the sh*t, hands down!
Valdarious
From what I hear, I guess it cant be 100% since the movie isnt out yet. I hear that Obi royaly wipes the floor with Anakin in EP3 and that is why Vader is more machine than human in the old series.

Ben_Walker
I voted for Kyle for this reason. Keep in mind I am using Return of the Jedi Luke and Jedi Knight 1 Kyle. TMP: Obi-Wan killed Maul. ANH: Vader kills Obi-Wan. ESB: Vader kicks Luke's ass. ROTJ: Luke did ok against Vader. Emperor zapped Vader when Vader lefted him up to throw him over the edge. Luke took off Vader's helmet and Vader died. JK1: Jerec rivaled Vaders power. Kyle beat Jerec in saber combat. And I recon Kyle could take Vader! Jedi_Monk
Vader did not defeat Obi-Wan in ANH. Obi-Wan let himself be struck down so that he could better help Luke in what was to come. People shouldn't use Vader's killing Obi-Wan to indicate that Vader was in any way superior to Obi-Wan as far as lightsaber combat goes. He may have been, at that, but we'll never know. sir_Latin
I'd think it's between Obi-Wan and Anakin but... I gave my vote to Anakin/Vader on this one. This is not based on the movies or anything, but one fact. He is the Chosen One. The One that brings balance to the Force. Ofcourse, this by itself doesn't make him the best with sabers, but lets face it. Anakin is destined to defeat ANYONE. That's why he is the one to defeat the emperor, ofcourse not with sabers, but thing is, if he hadn't turned to the dark side, nobody would have bested him, cause he is the Force's Champion. Sure, Luke beat him, but only because it was the way of the Force, and the only way to Anakins fulfillment of prophecy. He would be like the Dragon Reborn if anyone have read the Wheel of Time Anyways, the movies will hopefully show who the best is/were. But I still think Anakin/Vader would OWN anyone Although Luke does get very skilled in the Force and lightsabers in the Expanded Universe, but I guess the new Jedi doesn't have the good old training like Obi-Wan & co. had sir Latin
EffJi
I have to go outside the poll and say: Myself. I don't have a fancy Jedi-name though. We were going to make a movie in school, and someone (me) came up with the "great" idea about making a lightsabre fight. It starred me and a guy in my class. It turned out as an embarising short film with incredible SFX. The people that watched it had clearly not seen star-wars and wondered what was going on. It was a TPM-like duel (fast) and ended with me throwing my lit saber around my enemy and pulling it through his body. It had no backstory and only showing two people fighting eachother for no apparent reason. BTW: We all got A:s for it (YAY!!!)

EffJi
I have a jedi-name: Fre-Jo Te'Sto / Fre-Jo Be'Sto / Fre-Jo Jo'Sto (with all my different middle names) But i don't like any of them.
CupO'Coffee
they're not so bad, but the rhyme in all of them (...jo ...sto) makes the names sound rather funny... i wonder if that is the "official" way of finding out his jedi name...
RabidPlatypus
Yoda uses a lightsaber in episode 2..... and also, if George Lucas said that good jedi have green and blue sabers then why does mace windu have purple?

EffJi
Trust me, you'll hate it. Two swedish teenagers speaking english to eachother, one of them with a fake british accent (me). Bad sound effects (the force-pull-sound taken from the JK 1 force-jump, as an example) And the throwing-sabre-round-enemy that I talked about was horrible. You see me throwing the sabre behind him, and seconds later something blue flies out of his chest. The movie didn't turn out as we expected, at least I am very dissapointed of it. You'll find a lot better sabre-fights at http://www.theforce.net (at their fanFilm section) trust me.
