G0SP0DAR
This question was begging to be asked here. My apologies if it was asked somewhere else, but it's not in the most recent 558 threads in this forum since 19 March 2002. I personally prefer 2048*1536 when in full-screen. That's as good as it gets. However, I frequently run 1600*1200 in a window, just because I'm usually playing JO when I should be doing something else, so I always have to keep watch on other things on my computer I'm quite impressed at how well JO performs at such resolution on my relatively not-high-end hardware, since other games on this engine really suck even at 1024*768. JO doesn't offer all the lower-resolution choices that JK did back in the day. Not that it'd be pretty or useful to most of us, but it would be interesting to see on some more compact monitors. Anyway, feel free to post whatever may be related to this broad subject below.
CupO'Coffee
i'm playing at 800 by 600 (wee... i maed the first vote) because if they are, say, 3-8 enemies at a time the game slows down big time. and this on my 1ghz/gf2ultra/384MBram machine. if anyone has a idea why that's so, puh-leaze help me! Thrown Saber
Ok, CupO'Coffee... You made the first vote. But I can make a good guess that I get a better game of JO than you, cuz I play in 1024 x 768. Btw, Gospodar, how long had this poll been running? Rock... ow! Wall... ow! Priceless china vase... ow! Head... ow!

Good lord! 2048x1536 in full and 1600x1200 in windowed? What kind of monitor are you running that on, a 30 inch? I always use 1024x768 for all my games. It's detailed enough without going overboard, plus it's the resolution I use outside the game.
Evil The Cat
usally just 1024*768 because i like to have no fans on so it doesnt stress things 2 much. Besides anything higher and i can hardly notice the difference.

The LucasForums database crashed about as soon as I posted it (wouldn't even let me vote! I'll try voting now), so it may not have received all the attention at once. I'm surprised no one yet besides me runs at more than 1024 X 768.

I have a GeForce2 *cough* MX *cough* and a Dell M991 19" monitor (18" viewable), which let me comfortably run just about anything at 2048*1536 (anything that supports it, that is!). With JO, I can run almost all SP levels smoothly at 2048*1536 in full-screen, except for the swamp level, which has way too many polygons for my now obsolete video card. MP isn't too bad either, although I drop down to 1280*1024 when I'm hosting.
engineerdude
1024 X 768 is the best resolution I can get at home with decent frame rates. I haven't been in the swamp yet. On my laptop (P3) the game was unplayable in 640x480 once I got to Arturs Mine.

TheDarkSide
1280x1024 all sliders maxed out on my 19" monitor. My frame rates are more than playable (40-65 range) on my system: PIII 800 o/ced to 933 512MB PC133 64MB GeForce 3 Ultra (before the Ti series). I'm pretty sure my processor is bottlenecking the whole thing. Athlon 1800XP here I come! TDS
The_Wounded
I wish i could let the games run on such he resolutions but yeah only got a p3 450 wif a ati radeon 7200 so that ain't going to work.
txa1265
I'm running at 800 x 600 on my Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop (1.13GHz, 32MB GeForce2 GO) and it runs very well up until the swamp (like so many). I'm getting a new one soon - the Inspiron 8200 with 1.8GHz P4 and 64MB GeForce4 440. Then we'll see what I can do with it ... Mike

Mobius47
most games i play at high resoulution, but i usually look at whats best. if the textures are low res or grainy (JKII:JO) I play it @ low res so it doesnt blur or distort:cool:
Abom|nation
1280x1024 on a 17" screen - GeForce 3 Ti200 powering the graphics for it. I would run on Very High Texture detail, but JK2 likes crashing me on loading screens if I do that, so it's High for me.
