moooa Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 It's impressive. I think it's the best model I've seen for jk2 But 2 question : do u have animated him, and how many poly he has Very very nice work
Delmar Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 dude! that is sick! good job, major clod! btw, sick means "fantastic" in this case.
Cmdr. Antilles Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 *drops dead with smile on face* That is so amazing. I... speachless... Must have now... Grrr.... *chewie noise*
Darkhold X Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 quite amazing looking. The features of the face seem kinda strong, but everything gets blurred a bit in game anyway, so it should look fine. as quoted from rouge squadron "romph":D
adillon Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 major clod- holy s--t! sweet model. i am tres impressed. keep up the absolutely incredible work!!
Cracken Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 Goddamn...first I see Kinja's incredible Yoda, then I click on the fully-skinned Wookie! What god did I please?
DarthCobra Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 Well, I try not to clutter up the forums with "good job" "excellent work" and all that nonsence. But I think ill have to make an exception here. GOD THAT ROCKS!! GOOD WORK MAN! WAY TO GO! I CANT WAIT TO GET THIS MODEL IN GAME!!!!!!!
Master Hooji Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 Klorel, are those "random Star Wars meshes" ready for MP play?!? Tell me they are (or can be made so simply)! Those are amazingly detailed meshes! If they haven't been prepared for play, someone (who has the knowledge, unlike me) should do so, QUICKLY!! (sorry to be off wookiee-topic; you may all return to your wookiee talk now) May the Force be with you all!
AKPiggott Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 That is fan-bloody tastic... he might need a bit of that cool fur technique around the torso though.. can't wait to seem him with the ammo belt...
MuRaSaMuNe Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 hmm maybe make different coloured ammo belts for team colours?
Oobedoob Benobi Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 yah that is a good idea you could make three colored belts blue, red, and normal (which i think is brown).
BradFu Posted May 29, 2002 Posted May 29, 2002 That's absolutely incredible! Can't wait to try it out! Two suggestions: first, maybe ditch the foot claws. In the movies, you never see those (though you are correct that they exist, they're just retracted unless the Wookiee needs to climb a tree, just like the hand claws). In the types of environments that your Wookiee will be fighting in, he probably wouldn't have his claws extended. The other suggestion is, in addition to a left-shoulder to right-hip bandolier with tool bag, make the bag and bandolier seperate surfaces that can be turned off. Then add another bandoliere going the opposite direction. Throw a regular belt in. If you make all of these things Surfaces that can be turned off or NoDraw'ed, you can offer some great variety for those that will undoubtably be making skins based on your great model Keep up the great work! BradFu!
Pedantic Posted May 29, 2002 Posted May 29, 2002 Holy guacamole! That model is absolutely astounding! Great job!
C]-[33S3/\/\@N Posted May 29, 2002 Posted May 29, 2002 It r0x0rz mah b0x0rz! w00t! Seriously though d00d, thats awesome I cant wait to use it Cheers
Arius Posted May 30, 2002 Posted May 30, 2002 bump, this model is too good to fall off the first page :-p

I can't wait for this model... Sooo sweet. What about sounds? I think we all know what his taunt should be.
Klorel Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 Antilles is right, they are just meshes for rendering. but if someone reduced the poly count a lot and added the needed elements to the model, they could have a very accurate model on thier hands. by the way, great wookie... i'm starting to really like this alpha channels thing... i'll have to look into it myself. Ever considered making an Ewok too? you seem to be good with the beasty hairy animal models... they look natural. can't wait to pull someone's arms out of thier sockets!
Darth Hef Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 That is an awsome model man! but he just seems a bit thin, well, i dont know, but the texturing is great!
Toonces Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 Gorgeous, simply Gorgeous! I can't wait too see this model ingame. Have you considered your taunt sound yet? I would bust out laughing if you decided to string together a few second clip of incoherent Chewy speak Would really turn an already fantastic peice of art into a true classic. Can't wait DT
