He has already made it quite clear he doesnt want ANYBODY working on Star Wars. At least not on official canon. That's HIS baby.

Which I think is bulls#it cause Lucas sucks at storytelling...

That will NEVER happen. George Lucas will personally see to that.

*cough* Ewok Cartoon *cough* Star Wars Episode *cough*

If they were able to the a Holiday/Christmas Special, two spin-off Ewok movies and a freaking Ewok Cartoon, why shouldn't they do a TV show after Episode 3.

And because George Lucas would personally see to that, it could be quite good.

I started a thread on this the other day (one that withered and died in 2 days, mind you) and I agree that it would be a great idea. The storyline wouldn't have to be based in the movie story-line. Instead, it could be set in the days of the Old Republic. Or, if they don't want to do that, they could just have a random Star Wars-based tale every week. One week it's about a Jedi, the next it's about some bounty-hunter or smuggler. I think it'd be pretty sweet.

yeah, that has more merit as far as interest goes, but there's a reason they're called "series " TV shows are expected to have continuity and some semblance of overall plotness. Even seinfeld, the show famos for having no plot, followed this rule.

Anthology series, like The Outer Limits or The Twilight Zone do not have to have any real continuity between episodes, and that's exactly the kind of series that an SW TV show would have to be. The universe is too big to do anything else!

Lucas has said there won't be any more movies after Episode III, and he wouldn't allow anyone else to make them, either--he's said nothing about TV series and it's even been suggested that a CG movie would be all right. Lucas just doesn't want anything else to be on the same level of canon as his movies, or to be implied that it is on the same level. That's why the books and are okay, they're not movies therefore not on the same level. Television is a completely different medium from a big screen movie, so it wouldn't be on the same level, either.

I don't think Lucas would have a problem with it.

i remember reading a rumour somewhere that an idea for a star wars tv series is to follow the jedi apprentice series books, which i think would be cool. but this is just a rumour or an idea in my head that i remember as a rumour but really is just my imagination, he look a green flying monkey with big ears (or is that yoda?)
