L2.0
Actually, if I remember correctly they do infact speak some portugese. But I believe it was a conglomerate of 3 seperate languages they used together... As for a Twi'lek/English dictionary if you will...search the web. God only knows if those blasted klingon have a language, then someone has prolly done a Twi'lek one as well. Hell, even the Drow have a dictionary anymore... And if you can't find one, simply e-mail LucasArts, I'm pretty sure someone there knows a bit about it...maybe even someone involved with Star Wars Galaxies would know, as they use the Twi'lek's as one of the initial races. HapSlash
How are the other alternate skins coming for this wonderful model,... I know BradFu showed off his jedi master skin a bit And I think that's really looking good. While he decided to go for an older more experienced looking character, I decided to just go for the hot young female Twi-Lek look. http://wat.midco.net/eggnog1/aayla.jpg So,... Are there any other skins out there?

Nanodagiardino
How are the other alternate skins coming for this wonderful model,... Very nice chick there Hap, love the transparent oola shirt bikini. I think too that since Twileks are the galaxy sex symbol, some nudity is a must.... hehe So , ok, here is my alternate skin. I'm going for the young hot female Twi-Lek look too.... but with a darkside twist. :D:D (Brom stile, but it's still very WIP, so I will diverge a little has I move along... maybe ) I'm still way behind... I don't have time I can only work for 30 minutes 1 hour each day. I don't have the slightest clue to when I'm going to finish. Suggestion? Etc? spacermonkey
Well cmdr Antilles, if you can give me some idea's as to how you think the skin would be closer to the Aayla from the movei then maybe I can implement some of your suggestions. I'm gonna be working on the skin later tonight - so there might be an update for you.
Cmdr. Antilles
I hope you weren't offended. I just thought you were going for the 'comic book' look. As for getting it to look like the movie... Well, I'm not really sure. I've been comparing your model to the shot from Episode II... It seems pretty much right on... but there's something about it. It's like when I'm drawing a picture from a photograph. I'm really close to the paper, and all the details seem to match up, but when I step back, something just does't look right... So, I'll just make a list of differences I see as I look at them... 1. I think her shirt-thingy should be more brownish. In the movie, it seems to be the same color as her headband, which you seem to have skinned just right... So how about making them match? 2. I don't know how you skinned it, but if it's at all possible, could you make the one sleeve? I think it would look cooler, and more accurate.. 3. Her arms seem a little (just a little) bit too muscular... I don't think you should change your model, but maybe if you modified the skin to make them a little more subtle. I think the thing is that when I look at your model, I see a kind of buffed up twilek in a sports bra. When I see the movie pic, I see a physically fit, but lithe twilek. 4. I think if you compared the movie still to your model, you'll see that Amy Allen's face seems a little more... rounded. Look at the cheek. Your model has rather sharp cheekbones that cut drastically to the chin. Amy's cheeks are more rounded... Not puffy, but rounded, and not so severe. 5. The nose on your model seems to go down, and then the tip points up... (well, out, you know what I mean) Amy's nose doesn't really flare up at the end. It seems to drop down at the end. Well, that looks like all the nit's I'll be picking today. PLEASE, PLEASE do not take this the wrong way. I'm hoping that this is CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. You're really doing a GREAT job. I just really like this model, and want to see it turn out as perfect as possible. I know you'll do a great job no matter what, but hopefully my suggestions will help her be a little more faithful to the movie, if that is, infact what you were going for. adillon
spacermonkey, that skin on aayla secura is looking downright INCREDIBLE ... sexy yet tough as nails. but when you say there's lots of work left until it's done, i have to ask what more could there possibly be?! you're doing an awesome job, keep it up! Cmdr. Antilles
Looking very nice, Spacermonkey. I think the only thing I see that needs a little (tiny) bit of work is the face... It's that whole shape thing I brought up in my other post. But I'll understand if you don't want to change the model. The only other thing is w/ the colors, but I know that they'll be different in JK2 anyway, so I'm not worried.

AgentSmith
Spacermonkey that Aayla model/skin is looking just wonderful! Really kick ass and awesome. Major congrats and all I think it looks really good and true to the movie version of the character. A few tiny details I wanna mention (no offense and all, just saying cuz I admire your work of art there) - The lip color and shape is just perfect, just like the EP II version played by Amy Allen. (With the pouty- sassyness and kick ass expression of her lips captured really well.) - The eyes are done really well, just the shade of brown like in EP II Amy Allen's eyes (if she's not wearing contacts that is) but for some reason the eyes don't seem to have the same feel and expression to them as Amy Allen's in the EP II publicity shots. But that's probably the limitations of a computer model compared to a real person. So I don't mean to nag. - The sleeve you added is awesome, I mean really identical in shape, texture and color as the EP II version. - The right (sleeveless) arm seems a little more muscular than Amy Allen's but I think that brings the model closer to the Comic book character version. So that's really cool in fact. - Now the last thing I wanted to mention ... this probably is gonna sound so wrong (and perverted) but the breasts on the model seem somewhat smaller than they do in the EP II Aayla played by Amy Allen. (She does have her arms raised but they still seem of a somewhat slightly more impressive proportion than those on the model. Perhaps a small increase?) Well all in all seeing such details are mentioned I think major applause to you for making a model/skin that's so awesome and close to the movie character. Bravo. Can't wait to be stunned by the finished 'product'.
AgentSmith
On shots from Celebration II found a Rebelscum.com you can see a belly button on the designs for the Aayla Secura model toy that Hasbro plans to release : http://www.rebelscum.com/photo.asp?image=c2/c2-aylaproto_4.jpg http://www.rebelscum.com/photo.asp?image=c2/c2-aylaproto_5.jpg http://www.rebelscum.com/photo.asp?image=c2/c2-aylaproto_6.jpg The second one clearly shows that for the EP II Aayla played by Amy Allen, she had her belly button visible. Hope this helps.

Droidekas
I didn't understand how you are going to post the Twi-lek babes. Is it going to be a Twi-Lek pak? I love all of the one I have seen! Are there any others? The Sith Twi-Lek is disturbingly enchanting! Congrats to SpacerM for the skinning team he gathered!!! Cmdr. Antilles I am sorry, I misinterpretated your post! *bows in shame*.
