That is the death of Amidala.

 

Princess Leah said she didn't remember much about her mother because she died when she was very young.

 

Could it be that Anikan/Vader had Amidala killed knowing she had given birth to a son (not knowing about a twin sister thus leaving Leah to live)?

 

I think that would be too heavy for children so I doubt we will see it in EP3. But I still wonder how/why she dies.

Anakin doesn't kill Amidala - Mace Windi makes sure of it. I believe he sacrifises himself to a Sith master (maybe Anakin) to protect Amidala. Lucas is splicing in shot with Nathalie Portman as Amidala for a DVD release of ROTJ so I don't think she dies in episode 3 but then again it could be a prereocrded message for her children who were adopted cos she died.

Regardless, Amidala dies while Leah and Luke are very young.

 

The Empire is just getting on full swing, the jedi have been all but eradicated from the galaxy and Amidala was formerly married to a Jedi turned Sith named Darth Vader who was 2nd in power to the galaxy.

 

Do you guys think that Amidala died some stupid accidental death like chocking on a preztle?

 

I think she would have been killed/assasinated by the Empire or at least the Trade Federation.

One thing though, how would Vader know he had a son, but NOT that he had a daughter (a TWIN, ie: born within minutes of her sibling??). That's what doesn't make sense.

 

I figure Anakin must leave Amidala BEFORE he knows she's pregnant (must have his mind focused on other matters, since he could sense it with the force, especially if his kids were latent force sensitives). Notice that Vader doesn't know it's his son when he's targetting Luke's fighter in ANH, he just says "the force is strong with this one" because he senses Luke using the Force to see the Exhaust Port on the Death Star.

 

Vader must get an idea that he has a son MUCH LATER, just like he doesn't know about Leia until later.

 

However we never get much of Leia's side of the story except for that brief dialouge in ROTJ. For all we know Amidala was alive and died on Alderaan (and married Leia's "Father"). Then again, it's even possible that Leia knew Anakin, but didn't know he was Vader... or??

 

Lots of stuff to wonder about until 2005. ; )

I imagine (and I'm told there was an EU Comic that told something like this) that after Luke blew up the Death Star he would be pretty famous in the rebellion, and his name would probably leak to the Empire, and at that point it would be pretty clear to Vader who it was (Skywalker who is really strong in the Force...). Especially after Obi Wan was involved in the skirmish on the Death Star--he would realize that that was no coincidence.

I am saying it's Dooku. My theory is Dooku will kill her and Anakin will want revenge and Palpatine will come to his aid and reveal himself and Anakin will show Dooku no mercy and kill him thus beginning his journey to the dark side. I think seeing Anakin snap after his mom died was obvious foreshadowing on Padme's death turning him. Does anyone else think that Boba Fett will end up killing Mace Windu in some freakish but intentful way?

Come on, love of your life, father of your children, turns completely evil and starts wiping out everyone in his way. Your trusted friend/sometime bodyguard (obi-wan) takes one of your children and hides them, not telling you where, and sends you to a new planet to hide yourself with your remaining child.

 

(yep, that's one hell of a run-on sentence, sorry)

 

Just saying, is all... Gotta be a few romantics left out here!

I agree with your theory it seems to be the most logical step

Here's what obviously WILL happen (I'd betcha almost anything ;)). Something WILL happen to Amidala and Amidala (srry about spelling if its wrong) WILL die. The real question is who kills her? We have a few possible suspects, most likely of all is Darth Sidious, aka The Head of the Senate. However this seems a little to obvious. Remember how mad he got when Anakin was kissing her and she stopped? Here is what I think happens, I think their relationship falls apart, thus starting to turn him to the darkside. They eventually split up because of this.

Am I wrong or did Padme marry Anakin at the end of AotC? If so then shouldn't we really be calling her Padme Skywalker?

 

Oh and hoepfully Boba will get revenge on Mace. That proabably will be a major part of the story. I can't wait to see Boba best Mace in combat and then use Mace's saber to chop of his head, major revenge style!

 

I wonder if Boba uses Jango's armour or gets his own? In which case will he impersonate Jango maybe? (seeing as they are clones, who could tell the difference? even with the mask off?)

Gratuitous On-Topic Portion of the Post: I think Anakin will kill Amidalia... at least by accident. Maybe they've been apart for a while, she has the children, he knows she was pregnant but not with twins..... Anakin is doing something somewhat questionable with the force and maybe vapes a ship that was transporting her.... his guilt is the final emotion to push him over to the darkside for good.

 

Boba Fett will definately kill Mace Windu.... probably by disintegration: remember Vader's scolding tone and gesture toward Fett in ESB: "I want him alive! No disintegrations."
