I'd say Ewan McGregor too, because he has visibly evolved so much in his role as well as the Obi-Wan charcater itself since Episode I.

He made a unique performance that stands its own brilliantly but still bridges perfectly between the young Obi-Wan of Episode I and the old Obi-Wan (Ben) of Episodes IV,V and VI.

He added those snappy and fun one-liners and gives a feel to Obi-Wan as the matured Jedi master who is serious, serene but also has a sense of humour to him.

I voted for Hayden Christensen; he did a great job bringing depth to Anakin Skywalker and showing his descent into the Dark Side. The scene where he finds his mother, when he tells Padme about killing the Tusken Raiders... brilliant. He gets my nod--even though I hate him ;)

Jango. Everyone else seemed like celebrities playing Star Wars, but Mr. Fett actually seemed like Jango Fett.

Ahem... and exactly *where* do we see Mr. Morrison's acting skills come into play?....

(Couldn't resist!)

I agree, Mr. Morrison is a brilliant actor and has done some excellent movies... but Star Wars was definately not one of his best.

Definately Ewan is the best actor in Episode 2.

Obi Wan and Dooku are played by legendary actors, the rest just bubble alot of Jedi crap then get into action (no that this is bad it is actually good), so not much acting going on there.

I think Yoda doesn't count, you could say voice acting, but nearly everybody can do the yoda voice.

It is so anoying, as soon as your talking to someone, and the word Star Wars comes out, someone always does the Yoda voice.

there is a world of difference between scottish and 'english' accents. But he's trying to do Alec Guiness' voice rather than a normal accent, which he can speak fluently if he choses.

To be honest, I don't think any of the actors were very good. With the exception of ewan, who is trying very hard to act well in a setup he's totally unused to and has been quoted many times as saying he hates.

Not quite sure why everyone's saying dooku was done so well. He's a good actor, but I thought he was appaling in AOTC, though that might have just been because of the script and direction.

However, my vote goes to Palpatine. I thought he's actually doing quite well as the sneaky senator pretending to be nice and the shadowy dark guy.
