ThirdGenRX7
I really think the special edition sucks hardcore and i'd really like to get my hands on a copy of the original trilogy w/o the horrible "enhancements" George Lucas and friends made to the classics... Cracked
maybe try ebay.com?
MasterD-LeyAmas
I've got a copy you could buy... for the right price:) No, I'm with you, I wouldn't give away my copy of the OT for anything, I didn't like all the cgi's put into the films; it just didn't fit. But aside from ebay, I think your options might be limited to scouring used video stores for them.
ThirdGenRX7
ebay has always seemed kind of sketchy to me:( I'd like to purchase them new from somewhere... i want to email lucasfilm about it, but they don't have any contact info.... figures... MasterD-LeyAmas
If you can get the OT for a decent price on ebay, I'd go for it. Ebay's done fine by everyone I know so far, and that is probably the only place you'll find the original OT.
Padawan Andy
As my master had taught me the key to buying from the junk dealers on ebay is sniping. Waiting for the very last possible moment and bidding your maximum. The biggest problem is the OT or SE Trilogy in widescreen are harder to come by and the dealers always charge outrageous ammounts. If I could offer some advice it would be to look for "Buy it now" options in the auctions. I was rather lucky to find the OT on Laserdisc for only 50 bucks. If your going to pick up any form of the OT find the THX versions, in widescreen if possible. For those of you who are not too fond of the SE Trilogy. -Andy
BCanr2d2
Not exactly something you would be able to get from LFL, considering now that, according to GL that the SE are now the reference prints, and not the originals.
CagedCrado
Id sell you a copy of the original trilogy (not se) for only 2000000000 Yen, or about 2 million dollars. Actually no, ill check ebay and average all the final bids on it and ill selll it to you for that price.

MasterD-LeyAmas
Well, think of it this way, Kal-El (and I'm assuming you just mean that you haven't seen the original OT)... Look for all of the crappy cgi scenes that don't belong in the copies of the OT that are out now, take them out, and you have the original good trilogy. I actually have the very last copy released before they made the Second Edition, a.k.a. "the one with bad cgi that doesn't belong".

BCanr2d2
What he is getting at is that they change it so that Greedo shots first and misses by quite some margin, from such a close range. That makes that scene work entirely differently, doesn't make Han quite the gunslinger he was, and makes Greedo look like a blind dimwit.

Darklighter
Personally, i don't think that that scene work in the SE. It just looked wierd and your right, how could greedo have missed from that distance when he was one of the most feared bounty hunters at that time? BCanr2d2
I don't think that Greedo has a big name, but more to the fact that Han has been around Tatooine for some time that he knew who worked for Jabba.....
Dath Maximus
If you live in the US like me, (not sure how it is in the other countries) go to wal mart or target or someplace and they have them.
