Tchouky Posted June 30, 2002 Posted June 30, 2002 This is a new version of my mod . it features all the previous options : -saber colr with rgb parameters -extended blade feature (slower when the blade is extended..) -second color for the double bladed saber or when the blade is extended. -bots may have double bladed and extended sabers.(with custom colors too) AND the model scaling. The server has a file tckmodel.cfg and must configure it allow model scaling. (a few examples are provided) The LIMITS are 0.5 of the size to 1.5 ! Installation : extract the zip in the GAMEDATA folder. Execution : run the start.bat provided in the GameData\tck directory or create a shortcup to jk2mp.exe and add these parameters +set fs_game tck +set vm_game 0 don't forget the vm_game 0. For CODERS : the mod is open source and i'd be glad if someone can continue the mod during the summer (fix bugs if they are any...) I won't be able to code during two months and i wanted to have the mod functional before leaving. Current issue : the mod uses a dll instead of a qvm. I don't know why but the qvm have a messy code and the saber collision is screwed when the qvm is loaded (but the dll works fine !). If someone could fix it it would be great ! (i didn't have time to do it myself ) Well i hope you will like it ! I hope they are not too many bugs i'll try to come back to the forums sometime but Have a nice summer everyone ! DOWNLOAD : TCK MOD + SCALING MODELS SOURCE CODE May The Force Be With You ! PS : if someone could make a jawa model now that would kick 4$$ !

sithlord-II Posted June 30, 2002 Posted June 30, 2002 well boba you can use that yoda if you like, unfortunately it is missing skins, it has various other errors on it and is incomplete, but hey its your call

keo718 Posted June 30, 2002 Posted June 30, 2002 Hey Tchouky I downloaded your mod I have a question though. How in laymens terms can I get the model scaling to work? When you say open tckmodel.cfg I do not totally understand. Thanks.
iifuzz Posted June 30, 2002 Posted June 30, 2002 no prob, by the way, is there any way to take off the thing where u cant backstab and rotate and uppercut in the air with the mod like when u make a server? the first time i made it i could do all that but now it wont let me rotate or nothing
sithlord-II Posted June 30, 2002 Posted June 30, 2002 when you open the TCKmodel.cfg file, just open it in notepad and add in the model name for whichever model you want rescaled on your server. so lets say my vader will be rescaled you add in these two lines to the end of that cfg file vader 1.3 Vader 1.3 and so on for whichever model - you name it whichever name the model is referred to within game. For instance, chewbacca is wookiee 1.4 Wookiee 1.4 or whatever you want the scale to be, etc and exar kun is named exarkun_sithii 1.1 Exarkun_sithii 1.1 there u go, then you start a server with the start.bat file
Black_Eagle Posted June 30, 2002 Posted June 30, 2002 does this work with skins aswell or only models? EDIT: also where do u put the tckmodel.cfg file?
Toonces Posted June 30, 2002 Posted June 30, 2002 I've been messing around with it tonight, pretty cool I had Chewie at 1.5, damn was he big What is Yoda again, .6? I scaled Cheshire's Maul to .8 just for fun, he was rather small, should be the perfect size for the Emperor Great job again Tchouky! CT http://www.drivingcatstudios.com
mcowart Posted July 1, 2002 Posted July 1, 2002 Sweet mod Tchouky, I love kicking small Ugnaught butt I think I might have found 1 bug though. The scaling doesn't seem to work on some models. The wookiee model being 1, and the Vampire D model (it's released, the sites just haven't updated yet). No matter what you set it to, they stay normal size. (And yes, I made sure they were spelled right in the tckmodel.cfg file I was able to fix the D model, by changing the pathname (hence the model name), of where the model was stored in the pk3. That made me think it just didn't like the pathname (it was 1 letter), so I changed it from D to vamp_d. The wookiee model doesn't have that problem though. Any clues? I might look through the code later, but I thought I would just mention this.
mcowart Posted July 1, 2002 Posted July 1, 2002 nevermind about the wookiee, he's working now. I must have had something wrong. It's a beautiful mod, still
cROsIs** Posted July 1, 2002 Posted July 1, 2002 Can someone help!?.... I cant get ANY of the model to scale, does the CFG have to be in a certain area, or just in the gamedata folder.... thanks.
Darth-Nasty Posted July 1, 2002 Posted July 1, 2002 very nice however does someone have a list of all the heights that the models should be at?? how big should wookie and vader be?
Black_Eagle Posted July 1, 2002 Posted July 1, 2002 this mod is brilliant here are some screenshots i tokk while playing as barry the ewok http://beagle.netfirms.com/pics/pic1.jpg http://beagle.netfirms.com/pics/pic2.jpg http://beagle.netfirms.com/pics/pic3.jpg http://beagle.netfirms.com/pics/pic5.jpg http://beagle.netfirms.com/pics/pic6.jpg
Daskers Posted July 1, 2002 Posted July 1, 2002 Well i don't no what the exact measurements should be for the custom models, but here is what I've made in regard to the npcs.cfg file. yoda 0.6 Yoda 0.6 kyle 1 Kyle 1 desann 1.35 Desann 1.35 vader 1.3 Vader 1.3 wookiee 1.4 Wookiee 1.4 exarkun_sithii 1.1 Exarkun_sithii 1.1 leia 0.9 Leia 0.9 boushh 0.9 Boushh 0.9 ugnaught 0.75 Ugnaught 0.75 stormtrooper 1.1 Stormtrooper 1.1 swamptrooper 1.1 Swamptrooper 1.1 reborn 0.94 Reborn 0.94 In the npcs.cfg file (the file the sp game uses) the scale is measured to 100 being the default player height opposed to 1. To get these, I just divided them by 100.
rut-wa jodar Posted July 1, 2002 Posted July 1, 2002 has anyone got saberlocking to work in FFA & team FFA with tchouky`s latest scaling mod
Darth-Nasty Posted July 1, 2002 Posted July 1, 2002 I have managed to alter the height of the vader and wookie models when they are bot controlled however when i try and play as them they are normal height!?!? Therefore i have two different height wookies fighting on the same map how do i fix this? btw if i use desann it works proporly with both the bot and player height successfully increased.
Kururin Posted July 1, 2002 Posted July 1, 2002 I start MP then i go to mods load the mod then it restarts MP but the screen stays bright white I waited about ten minutes and stay the same what's wrong? __________________ "What if he doesn't survive; he's worth alot to me"
Daskers Posted July 1, 2002 Posted July 1, 2002 I've just read through the Essential Guide to characters and figured out the EXACT heights for some of the models by comparing them with kyle. Heres a new list yoda 0.6 Yoda 0.6 kyle 1 Kyle 1 desann 1.35 Desann 1.35 vader 1.12 Vader 1.12 wookiee 1.26 Wookiee 1.26 exarkun_sithii 1.05 Exarkun_sithii 1.05 leia 0.83 Leia 0.83 boushh 0.83 Boushh 0.83 ugnaught 0.75 Ugnaught 0.75 stormtrooper 1.1 Stormtrooper 1.1 swamptrooper 1.1 Swamptrooper 1.1 reborn 0.94 Reborn 0.94 luke 0.96 Luke 0.96 maul 0.97 Maul 0.97 monmothma 0.83 Monmothma 0.83 I'm not sure if the mod supports the more accurate measurments or not though.
