Lime-Light
I dont mind of they kill each other in the Middle East. Not that I want people to die, but it serves as a good example for little children of what holding a grudge leads to...

This fight goes back centuries, and it's not going to end any time soon. Even if Clinton were still in office*shudder* and handling the situation. Don't get me wrong, I would love them to stop fighting, but they aren't. First of all, aren't we the pessimist? Will never settle down? That's just a tad absolute, isn't it? More accurate is that it will be difficult to reach a final peace settlement between Palestine and Israel. And regarding the indeptitude of W, and your apprarent disapproval of Clinton, as the point has already been made, Clinton was actively engaged in the middle east peace process, and the personal relationships he forged with world leaders was exceptional. Whereas W has managed to alienate us from the entire world, including our closest allies - this both due to his so-called policy (more like lack thereof), and his mangling of the English language (very poor communication skills). Despite some of Clinton's human, character flaws, as a President he excelled - it was the part he was destined to play, and he played it well. Laughably better compared to the amateurish job that W has been attempting to do.
obi
This is only strictly opinion, because I know some of the forum users are not a beliver in the bible. Anyways, here goes: A person will make world peace. when and how, I don't know. This person will claim that they are God, when in actuallity, he is the anti-christ. Anyways, then and only then will the fighting stop. (Please don't hate or flame me for my opinion, I never flame anyone else for what they believe, I expect the same:) )

"I would have said yes to abortion if only it was right. I mean, yeah it's right. Well no it's not right that's why I said no to it." "There ought to limits to freedom" "There's a huge trust. I see it all the time when people come up to me and say, 'I don't want you to let me down again.'" Nice.

Lime-Light
lesser of 2 evils? And a whole 30 omething percent voted, so its no where near the opinion of the country who should be president. No one cares to vote, they just enjoy complianing.

Lime-Light
Nice little recuring theme with democracy. Poeple have enough needs provided for them they have time to not vote then complain about the government. Freedom.
WolfmanNCSU
Pffffff. How can one not have time to vote. It take all of 3 minutes. Its really a shame when you are eligable to vote but dont, then complain. If you did nothing, then keep your mouth shut. They had there chance to express themselves with their given right to vote, yet they opt to not do it and still complain. Oh by the way. Clinton was a pretty smart president. One of the best things I can think of that he did was to help a lot with financial aid with higher education and students. Oh, and Bush and the bush administration did do something good today!! They passed a legislation act dealing with nuclear waste handling and storage that has been debated for over 20 years. (Also really good for me since I work with the nuclear industry)
Crazy_Taco
Bush is a friggin idiot. He cheated his way into office. He makes us look bad. No wonder that most of the world hates us when we throw n00bs like W up into office. I have a few quotes: "They will not hold our nation hotile!" HOSTILE HE SAYS! "We must dump our nuculer waste somewhere" "They're either for us or against us." Jesus Christ help us.
Vagabond
WolfmanNCSU, one thing I will say about voting in the USA, is that Election Day should either be a national holiday, or held from Friday morning to Saturday evening, in order to provide everone ample opportunity to cast their votes. All this silliness about giving only 12 hours to vote makes no sense. Why the rush to cut the vote short? If the government were really interested in measuring the will of the people, it could be more accomodating.
WolfmanNCSU
True, it does take quite some if you go to the booth to vote on election day, but I just avoided that hassle by filling an absenty ballad. Make the request, comes in the mail, fill it out, send it back, congrats you have voted. Makes things much easier, at least for me.
WolfmanNCSU
"We must dump our nuculer waste somewhere" I dont think this one is idiotic. But then again, I take things about nuclear energy very serious.

Or the fact that on Sept 11th he sent a private Saudi jet to pick up every member of the Bin Laden family and rush them out before questioning them about where their son might be hiding? Also the fact that he is the epitamy of the caretaker president, maybe worse than that? Pick a problem! And you're saying i shouldnt complain, of course i should. NerfYoda
Originally posted by Kyth'emos Yep, then along comes bush and Isrial is now about ready to blow the F***ing **** out of everyone within 1000 miles of their country, and half of the Palastinians are busy straping bombs onto themselves and blowing themselves up. They're just throwing the words "terrorism" & "anti-terrorism" around like frickin candy now to try and make the crap they do fit into the COMPLETELY ASSANINE Bush Doctorine & get US sanction for their events. I say you have a right to complain about the president, no matter who you are. because there are millions of people not old enough to vote, and they can complain. Anyways, crazy taco,- Enron is Enron,Bush had nothing to do with ENron. Do you honestly think that the bin-laden family knew where he was hiding? I think not. in fact, I know they didn't. Bush did the right thing, because many Americans would go crazy and try to kill them or something if they stayed there. And it isn't their fault their son is a freaked up, crack head.
