Clefo
Bud Selig, The Yankees, And Steroids are ruining baseball.. In that order.. It was just stupid, I mean pitchers pitch something like 500 innings a year, whats an extra 2 or 3 gonna do to them?
Rogue Nine
Not true. Curt Schilling pitches something like 285 innings a season and there isn't any other pitcher in baseball with his stamina, save perhaps his teammate, Randy Johnson. I understand Torre and Brenly's concern for their pitchers, being that they weren't really theirs to play around with. Larry Bowa and Lou Pinella would have fits if Vicente Padilla and Freddy Garcia pitched more than they should have. But I think that the All-Star rules are stupid. The roster should be expanded to more than 30 players a side. Back in 1960 when there only were 16 teams, 30 players per team was okay. Now you have 30 teams. The roster should be expanded accordingly to accomodate deserving players. Players should be allowed to come back into the game. It is the All-Star game after all. It's nothing but a glorified exhibition game. Barry Zito pitched to one batter and he was gone. Puhleeze. The game should have come out better than this. After all, for $175 a ticket, fans paid good money to watch a good game, not a 7-7 tie because of the stupid rules.
Crazy_Taco
That was such bull$]~[!7. Its the managers fault. They used a different pitcher every inning. WTF IS UP W/ THAT? You at least use em for 2 maybe 3 Idiots. Worst game ever. Fans were throwing beer bottles onto the field, rly.
