Tie Destroyer- that is the pic that I am using (for the most part) while I do his face. I have the Shadows of the Empire soundrack, and it has a PC portion on there with info and pcs and stuff. That's where I have been pulling my stuff from.

SithMaster01- Unless you are a moderator or admin, you cannot change what 'star wars monniker' you are. It changes over time though.

wow, kman, if that's what you call an approximation, i can't wait to see the final result. superb effort, heheh, or something like that. :D

stunning, amazing ... i can't take my eyes off him. the face is unbelievable. it has just the right amount of realism (but not too much) to make it fit very well into the game.

would you mind disclosing to us how you've accomplished the effect with the shader? i know magicians don't like to share their secrets, but shaders are something that elude me. is it an environment map, or whatever they call it? did you use q3ase to create the shader, or did you just modify the actual shader file?

however you did it, it's awesome. keep up the great work!

The approximation was that is what the shader would equate to in max. I know how the shaders work, and have been transfering that into max so I could have my nice renders that are comparable to what the shader would look like in game. And yes, I use Q3ASE.

Well, the sleeves were always a problem with Dash. The N64 game didn't have them, the toy did. (Dunno about the comic.) Since Shadows of the Empire was a concerted effort and one guy designed Dash, you'd think it would be consistent. Regardless, I always thought that aestetically, he looked better without the sleeves.

Wow, I havent posted here in forever. I guess thats what 2 hours of homework, cross country and regular school stuff will do to ya :)

Anyways, I'm waiting for the skin to be completed to I can use it on the model while weighting so I can make sure the model distorts properly for each animation. Seriously Kman, I didn't excpect this quality of work, its godlike :) Thanks a million.

Anywho, expect to see the model out in early October. I will find one weekend after the skin is done to just weight it and make sure everything works right. Then I will release it and we will have fun sexy time.:evanpiel:
