BCanr2d2 Posted July 16, 2002 Posted July 16, 2002 I thought as an Aussie it is our right to ridicule the Brits.... C'mon, how can I be having a go at the Brits if I use some quality Monty Python? Seriously, I was wondering how some people feel about having their country named after the French, having people stop to wonder about where the name for their country came from, the times you fought them, etc.... *Hands out spare Commenwealth Games gold medals to any Brit, Kiwi or Canadian... We seem to have plenty of them lying around...

I've been used to it all my life, so it doesn't really make a lot of difference with you telling us now. Thanks for pointing it out, but my answer its simply 'I don't mind'.
