Azrael
It better not be Keaneu Reeves. He doesn't need to **** up another movie in his career. He shoulda just stayed playing a stoner like he did in Bill and Ted's excellent adventure. That's the only thing that he's good at. Sci-Fi? Nope, Matrix. Romance? Nope, Sweet November. Comedy? Nope, The Replacements. Give it up man, before you hurt yourself. Anyway, back to topic, who do you think should play Max Payne in the movie? Well, if there is one. My choice would be Hugh Jackman (X-Men, Swordfish.) I think he's proven that he can play a badass who looks good in a leather jacket. Give him a dress like that in Operation Swordfish, and boom! You got yourself Max. What do you think? ps: if you think i'm raggin' on the matrix, i'm not. just keaneu reeves' worthless existence ****ing up the majority of that movie. and it's four in the morning, so scrwe yhu. greedo626
hmmm. I'd like to see the Max Payne movie do well so a real actor would be needed. of course someone who looks like Max should play him. hmmm. Ben Affleck looks kinda like Max Payne(don't hurt me. I'm thinking out loud), but his voice is all wrong... they'll probably get some guy off the street that looks and sounds like Max. guess we'll just have to wait and see. leXX
I'd love to see Brad Pitt (with his hair dyed black) in the role. I think he would suit the part nicely.

Darklighter
Okay, this is just my idea, but my choice would be Edward Nortan. He's cool, if a little goofy, and build him up a bit, give him a deep voice, a leather jacket and aa gun and he'd be badass...ok, maybe not. I'd go for Brad Pitt as well then. edit - he was scary sometimes in Fight Club. But so was Pitt I suppose.

StormHammer
From the very first screenshots ever shown, Max always seemed like Bruce Willis to me (from the Die Hard days). Of course, Bruce isn't as young as he was...or as hairy. Brad Pitt might be a good choice. Not sure about Hugh Jackman. Mr. Crowe has also proven he can play a tough cop - Maximus Payne, anyone? And James Woods in his prime made an excellent cop in...Cop. Heh. He, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Harvey Keitel would all make excellent villains, of course. The only thing that worries me about a Max Payne movie is some of the corny names they used for some of the characters. I mean...the Finito brothers? That, and the fact that the plot isn't anything really new. Nor are the special FX...bullet time has already been done to death, following bullets to targets is old hat, etc. The game worked because it introduced the movie feel into the game's context...but simply taking them back into a movie isn't breaking any new ground, so a film would have to rely more on solid story telling and character development, along with the obligatory action sequences. Darth Knight
i also thought about Bruce Willis would do a good job but i don't know if ben afflek is some one who fits the part.
SharaFett
ed norton would definitely fit the role. anyone here ever see american history x ?
X R Kun
I'm thinkin' it would be someone with the pissed off looks. Not too muscular, not too tall. Just a regular cop who wants to kick ass. My best bet has to go to that guy who plays in First Wave series. I don't know about his acting ability though but just search for his image around the web and you'll know wat i mean. As for Ed Norton, I think he got that freakishly crazy looks. Watch American history X and see how badass he is with shaven head and a neo nazi attitude. greedo626
yeah, Edward Norton was really good in American History X. if he dyed his hair and got it cut shorter I could see him as Max.
