I've seen all the movies and read some of the EU. (There's just so many SW EU books and comics!)

 

But I guess you could say I'm somewhat of a fan. I think you could even say I'm a fan of Aayla Secura, she's a Star Wars character, you know I have some comics about her, some pictures, know a few things. :p

I'm not going to vote....because this is a poor representation of how big a fan of Star Wars i am. I could possibly best you in knowledge of Star Wars Trivia, and i have read at least 50 star wars books. But reading EU is no way to gauge how big a fan of Star Wars they are. Jedi Monk for example, strongly dislikes EU....but he is a huge fan.

Seen all movies read some EU. EU is the BOMB how could anyone NOT like it?:quesbrn: :quesbrn: Its Star Wars it rules! Anything that has to do with Star Wars kicks ass! Lucas himself has approved it all! Mara Jade is one the greatest SW charatcers and shes in EU. Shes sooo hot:drool1:

I like EU......but some of it is rediculous. Like when the emperor killed bevel lemelisk 74 times, and then he had 92 clones, and then Boba fett is still alive......and CHEWIE DIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but it's pretty good reading. Just keep it separate from the movies, that's what i say..:rolleyes:

I agree that the EU can get out of hand but the real hardcore fans can only see the movies over and over and read the scripts over and over because it is the "real" stuff aka canon. But with EU we can go even further and a lot of the books are really good. I admit Boba Fett being almost god-like and chewie dying got out of hand but its Star Wars. Its something that some SW fans can continue to read and just love. I also think that the EU is not meant to go against the original trilogy. Its meant to support the original trilogy. And just thin where all the fans would be if there was no EU. We are lucky to have a whole other part of Star Wars for us.

I want to know who voted that they've read all EU...........that person is quite the amazing one, i shall have to say that! I mean.....hundreds of comics, no less.....probably at least 70 books or so........then there are the star wars visual dictionaries......the star wars insiders......i mean.......LOTS of EU...

I've not read any of the EU (though I did read the first couple chapters of TPM). I have, however, seen the movies enough times that I can pretty much quote all of them verbatim (with the exception of AotC, which I'm only working on :p). I've written an award winning (collegic) essay based on the original trilogy, won Star Wars Trivial Pursuit in 2 turns (need to see if I can do it in one), have a ton of toys, and play most of the games. Guess I'm a fan...

Hmmmm.... I don't read any of the comics or books, but i played the games since X-wing. And i don't know how many times i have seen the movies, about 6 times a year since (I know there is problem with Episode I and II) 1988-89 :D And not counting all the times in between.... And I read facts, and starwars history... You know all the stuff in the comics but in short versions :D

 

And what i love most about starwars is!

 

Lightsabers (Green Return of the Jedi), AT AT's, Jango and Boba Fett, All the Darth's and Jedi's (We love u OBI! And Darth Maul and Kit Fisto kicks ass!), THE SOUNDS THE SOUNDS!!!!, THE MUSIC THE MUSIC!!!! Blasters, Death stars, Star Desroyers, MELLINNIUM FALCON, TIE fighters, X-wings, Hoth, Blue Milk, Hydro spanner's, Rancor's, Migthy sarlac's :confused: , Pod racer's, Double Lightsabers, And all about Tyranus and his saber :eek: , and much much more!!!!!!!

 

I don't like Jar Jar Binks, R2-D2 rockets, the scene with C3po and his head on Geonosis, obi wan's spiderman/batman/fifth element/not jedi move out of padmes window, Anikan does it too... And that is what i have to say about that :cool:

I dont like JarJar.....but how could you not like the obiwan scene? It was AWESOME. The way that he leapt out of that window without even giving it a second thought..just BAM and out he goes. Then when he's falling and anakin catches him......and when anakin jumped onto Zam's speeder. It shows just how powerful Jedi are!

I like everything you said except Jar-Jar. I wouldnt go as far as to say "I hate TPM" because of him though. I still love TPM nontheless.

Dont compare a Jedi to Batman. Batman has no powers what so ever. He has gadgets only. You could say Batman=The Fetts.

Jedis use the force when neccesary to boost their agility,speed,streanth ect. so you can say they have powers in a way.:)

And yes that leap was a cool part of AOTC. I am glad Lucas is showing us what TRUE jedi were capable of.
