Ozzfest was here in Florida two weekends ago, but I didn't go. The only band I really liked that was headlining it was System of a Down. I also like the lesser-known but very talented Chevelle. They're kind of a hard rock band. Their bassist reminds me a bit of Tool's, although not quite as good. ;)

Personally I would go just to see System of a Down, my favourite band ever. Rob Zombie may be interesting to see, I hear he puts on a really good live show. As for the three others, haven't heard of them, except for POD *shudders* god I can't stand them. The idea of Christian Heavy metal just does not appeal to me in the least...

Tool should've been on this year's bill I was gonna go to ozzfest, but my friend who had my ticket bailed off to some godforsaken hellhole to deal crack. its pretty ghey, but i figure there's always next year.

good, tool can do way better than the rest of those junkie groups.

Forgive my nooby-rear-quarters, but when I saw the word OZZFEST I had asumed it had somthing to do with us OZZIE'S (me bieng from Australia and all) My mistake...Even though I've not heard of any of the bands playing there, It sounds like a pretty cool event. Have fun I say! :)

Well shoot I posted a big long reply and my Internet died before i could submit it. I'm not typing that stuff again. I have to say I am surprised at the response I am getting. I am not on all of the same pages with all of you, but one thing is for sure, we all are really digging System of a Down!

It really pains me to here you say that. You seem like an itteligent person, and for that I refuse to insult you in any way. I for one have followed Christian Metal for quite some time. POD is one of the strongest acts in that venue and are respected for the way they appeal to the MTV generation. I have a tattoo on my right shoulder of a christian band called The Crucified. They were a christian LA Hardcore act that could make Suicidal Tendencies seem like New kids On the Block........no lie! The last time I saw them was in 1992 @ the Cornerstone festival. Unfortuanately their style of music attracted some questionable crowds. Anyways the skinheads showed up that year and brought Switchblades and butterfly knives into the moshpit. The Crucified Stopped the show several times. They managed to finish the show, but broke up the followin year. All the members keep in touch with one another but went into their seperate projects. When that particuar singer sang "United By Christ!!", you knew he meant it, and you could feel it in the air!

Not a shabby lineup. I might go, I haven't decided. Last year's lineup was just a bit better. Disturbed and Manson, mainly. I'm a little pissed to see that Europe's lineup has Cradle of Filth and we don't here in the US. God damn, what I wouldn't give to see Cradle of Filth live.

Just let me say this though. I have nothing against anyone who listen's to POD, or christian music, or christians in general. It's just, you know, not my thing. Personally I think you can like whoever you want, just as I like whoever I want to. And seeing that you decided not to flame me for my opinion, I'm sure that you have the same beliefs. A lot of people I know like POD, it's just that I don't. Honestly, I've tried listening to them, and it's not the fact that I don't like Christian music, it's just that I really don't like their music in general. Everyone is different, you like them, I don't. That's what makes opinions so wonderful, everyone has one, and their usually different.:D BTW, enjoy the show. I really wish I could see SOAD live... I will though, someday I will...

P.S. Seeing Cradle of Filth is also on my "to do list"

Heh, well I won't argue the ownage of Ozzy but the old bastard sure ain't what he used to be lol. If you happen to be going to this year's Ozzfest get in the pit and go to the far lefthand corner right in front of the stage, and from there take a look at the right-hand corner. Eh...assuming that the stage's setup is similar to what it was lastyear at the Ozzfest I saw in Sacramento. We spotted a teleprompter on the far right-hand of the stage that was displaying the lyrics of his songs. Poor bastard obviously couldn't remember all his songs. :D
