Arkum Posted August 8, 2002 Posted August 8, 2002 With all the LOTR threads coming around, I decided to make an official LOTR thread! I'm a huge fan of the movie and the books, and I hope I get a chance to read The Silmarillion. Has anyone read it?
RpTheHotrod Posted August 8, 2002 Posted August 8, 2002 The movie sucked. Most movies have the build up to something...but this movie just started to build up, and when the MAIN THING about the entire movie is about to appear...it ends. What kind of crappy movie does that? Btw, I hate halflings/hobbits. Butt ugly. I don't like dwarves...but...I did like the Elven Archer (Legolas?) and the Ranger. ROCK ON ARCHERS!!! WOOOOOOOOO
Arkum Posted August 8, 2002 Author Posted August 8, 2002 Yeah, well if you've read the books, you'll see why it ended that way, and if you have read them, well then I got nothing to say.
Darklighter Posted August 8, 2002 Posted August 8, 2002 Have you read the books Rp? Even if you haven't, you should know that there are three books, and therefore there will be three films. Therefore the main thing that is going to happen is likely to happen at the end of the story, namely at the end of the third book (third film). Why am I even explaining this? You probably don't even care about my opinion:Dlol
obi Posted August 9, 2002 Posted August 9, 2002 THe movies weren't as good as the books, but the movie was still good in my book. Wait, maybe i should rephrase that sentence...........
whitedragon Posted August 9, 2002 Posted August 9, 2002 man was that movie good. but the balrog was much scareyer in the book. i cant wait for TT
MaulerZ Posted August 9, 2002 Posted August 9, 2002 I didnt think there was that many people in LF that liked LOTR........cool:p
Arkum Posted August 9, 2002 Author Posted August 9, 2002 neither did I, has anyone downloaded the Moria map, It's ok, the problem is with the room where Balin's grave is. It's kinda small. It needs the well, and it needs to be bigger, and it needs that door where the orcs storm through, otherwise, the mapper who made it did an excellent job.

TheWhiteRaider Posted August 9, 2002 Posted August 9, 2002 Did you hear someone is trying to change the name of "The Two Towers" because it sounds too close to the Twin Tower(World Trader Centers). I don't worry becuase they can't change the name under penelty of law.
Arkum Posted August 9, 2002 Author Posted August 9, 2002 sheesh, some people never let go of the past. and besides the book was written before the world trade center was ever built. The title only reminds of one thing, a kick a$$ book!
