Boba Rhett
That comp would be even better in the swamp. yoink. There we go.
OnlyOneCanoli
Not bad, although that video card will seriously bottleneck that system's capabilities. Try to save up some cash to invest in a GF4 or one of those new Radeons! FYI, I moved this to our off-topic area, Yoda's Swamp. Err, maybe Rhett did it. Whatever. Walwi Makno
I just built a new pc for a friend of mine. Specs: AMD Athlon 2100+ (1.73 Ghz) Epox 8k3a Mainboard 512MB DDR PC3200 RAM Chaintech GeForce 4 Ti 4600 IBM 80.0GB 7200RPM HDD Floppy 40x20x48 CDRW 16x DVD Turtle Beach Santa Cruz 10/100 56k Windows XP Professional I didn't get him a monitor, keyboard, or mouse. But the total came to $1150. So his probably ended up a little more than yours. On the other hand, I just got myself a new laptop (too bad I don't know how to build these). Specs: P4 M 1.73Ghz 512MB PC200 RAM 20GB HDD 8x DVD GeForce 4 420 Go (32MB) 10/100 56k Built in Wireless 802.11b Windows XP Professional Total (With shipping): $1838 I know that the RAM on the GF4 Go is a little skimpy, but my friend got the same model and he was getting in excess of 100 fps all the time so... that's good enough for me. I don't get a whole lot of new games for the PC, I only got JK2 because of the saber duels (and I'm a huge SW fan). My favorite game is Descent 3. The best, most difficult, fastest pace fps (If you can even put it in that genre) I have ever played. My pilot name is Plague... if any of you have ever played it online. Go try it, you can pick up the game cheap on ebay. Anyhoo, now that I've finished my li'l rant... I always suggest building your pc yourself. It's WAY cheaper. pricewatch.com

Walwi Makno
If you're saving up for the 9700 then that pc will rock. You might want to invest in a mobo with the new 8x AGP though. I'm not sure what the performance difference will be.
Clone_1102A
I Might get the 9000 though its half the price of 9700, and besides the 7500 is a good card right? ittle hold me
Clone_1102A
I was playing on a G2 MX440 at the store, and its more than enough, and the Radeon 7500 blows it away (well maybe not blows it away) It fine for what I do
