It is a collector's edition CD Rom containing both games. I know it's not worth much, but I'm interested anyway. ;)

True I was making assumptions... I have a war zone pack 5 cd that has 5 old dos games... Im sure that because its a collectiers edition thats been used... it would be about $5us... Unused... any were from $5-20 depending on the condition of the box and everthing...

Okay... Im stupid... Im not taking IT class... Im failing everything... I havent been around computers sence I was 8... They fade... You dont really understand what makes a disk run do you... I should know I was covering it this afternoon!!! The data does fade!!!

Quote from Computer Concepts 5th edition!!!

Magnetic mediea gradually lose their magnetic charge, resulting in lost datea. Some esperts estimate the the reliavle life span of data stored on a magnetic media is about 3 years.

When was the last time you cheaked the conditions of the files??? If you think about it... magnetic particals in disk do spread out... hence making the binary off and corrupting the files...

Accually... HDD is on magnetic aluminum plater... If you know what that is... hence the "Hard" Disk Drive in the name... :| Floppies are made out of the same stuff vhs are made out off... which is a very good example of the life of a floopy... :|

i know what a HDD is made of ...what u said is a problem of all magnetic media .... just cos the medium is HARD it doesnt mean it wont be affected by what ur saying

if what u were saying was true ... which it cant be otherwise my old disks would no longer work!!!

which they do

and no i wasnt upset i wasnt here

The key to HDD not losing data is the magnetic particals stay the same place... but media doesnt because the particals are in a simple plastic... HDD is on a metal plate thats in side a case which is inside the tower or desttop... Take up an old 10 year old vhs and say its perfect condition... Its not going to happen... :( sorry but the magnetic paricals in midia do spread out... but they dont sped out on an HDD...

please note the last modified dates ... this is a 3.5" floppy of DOS 3.30

its 15 yrs old ... but ,.... yet .... it still finds the files .... must be magic camus ... 5 times the length they predict

Okay... Here we go... ehem... binary is 1's and 0's correct... Just because magneict partacils spread doesnt mean all of them are going to spread... Every file has a header... in that header discribs what kind of binary code its going to need... Just because the header and the extions still apear doesnt mean all the data in between is 100% in place... Im sure files can go past 3... but after 2 years they start getting corrupt... which you know what that means... not all the 1's and 0's are in the right place...
