Hannibal
I know I'm going to get one or the other because I want to get SW:Bounty Hunter. I already have an XBox. I was leaning towards GC because it's only $99(isn't it? or am I wrong?) For those who own either one already let me know what you think of each and the games it has and will have. Old Rep Knight
I voted for the PS2 (but I am biased b/c I have one). I've never played a game on the Xbox or GC but I would go with the GC. 1) You already have the DVD combo with your Xbox that was an advantage of the PS2 over the GC, so the PS2 DVD isn't necessary. 2) The GC is cheaper. 3) The GC is smaller. I really like my PS2 but it doesn't have enough features above and beyond the GC that you don't already have with an Xbox and it's more expensive. A no brainer, it is. Boba Rhett
GC is $150. It may go down to 100 in the upcoming months though. I'd go for the GC as well. Especially if a major deciding factor is Bounty Hunter. The GC version is sporting quite a bit more detail.
Rogue15
ya, get gamecube. rogue leader is on it as well as star fox adventures.
Darth Simpson
I'd get a Gamecube as well, especially if you're buying it just for Bounty Hunter. It will look better. I guess it comes down to personal preference though, if there's more PS2 games you want than GC games, then get PS2.
Thrift
I'm considering getting a Gamecube on top of my X-Box just for the new Zelda... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
covenant_bad
also resident evil 0 zelda (cell shaded) zelda (normal) star fox adventures Ive got an Xbox and a GC and they really complement either other, Xbox for KOTOR and GC for BH. What more could you need...
Taos
I'm gonna say go for the GC....for all of the reasons listed above. I saw it at my local EB for $99 as well........I'm not sure where Rhett saw it at. Maybe things are more expensive in Iowa???
-s/<itzo-
My personal opinion. Gamecube, it's main target are for little kids. If you think about it most of their games are rated PG. It lacks from the wide range of games. Sooner or later it will totally drop from the competition because of it. Thats why it's only 99 bucks cuz hardly anybody buys it. XBox even though it has better graphics than both system it doesn't have the wide range of games that PS2 consist of. And thats what makes PS2 the top competitor of all three. if you going to pick one, base it on what kind of games you like. if you into that star fox and zelda type of games, then pick game cube. but if you into games like GTA, Vice City, MGS pick either PS2 or Xbox. I use to have all 3 systems. but i sold my game cube cuz i don't like the games that they have for it. Out of the two (PS2/Xbox) it's really close. but if i had to pick i'll pick PS2, that's my opinion.
Taos
Allright Hannibal.......you've had this poll up for a while and haven't posted yourself since the first one. Which did you chose or have you made that decsion yet???
Hannibal
Ok, I've made my decision. The process has been long and hard. Without your input my decision couldn't have been possible so I'd like to offer each every one of you my heart felt thanks. Ok, and the winner is. *drum roll* *opens envelope* "Dances With Wolves Director Kevin Costner!!" Wait wrong envelope. GameCube. Because I have a XBox and games that I want usually come out either on XBox and PS2 only or PS2 and GameCube only, I figured I'd have most of the games covered(also since I have a PC). I almost ordered one through Amazon but cancelled it and decided to wait and see if the price goes down. When I bought my XBox the price went down $100 2 months later. So I don't mind waiting. First off *applause* I think you made the right choice! Second, what price did Amazon give you for the GC?? Like I stated earlier, I saw it at $100 and still see it now.....don't know about other areas of the country of course. I got the Xbox just after the price went down on it......heck, that's like the only reason I bought the darn thing. I like it........I just won't have it for too much longer. I've deceided to go exclusively with cpu. I never have before so, I think it's a good decision. We'll just have to wait and see what kind of price I can get on a good high powered cpu.....
