PhantomHelix
ohh...this is a story that still makes me laugh. in my town, the Board of Education, the body that decides stuff related to the school system, is a piece of crap. it takes them forever to get the most elementary thing done. listen to this. i swear its true: two years ago, they started building a new middle school to replace one of the old ones. they finished it last summer, before i started 8th grade (im in 9th now). since the beginning of the summer until september, the board of ed argued with people on whether the committee should put in basketball hoops on the parking lot for recess. yes, basketball hoops......they finally decided about two months ago to put them in. they argue for a year and a half to do something that only took a day. jeez......its so incredibly stupid, i laugh every time i think of it. they dont get a damn thing done. Ratmjedi
Yup. The only good politician is a dead politician. We were promised that they were going to remodel our High School when we were Freshman and that it would be done when we graduated. 4 Years later....... Still nothing. They haven't even started to do anything. All talk but no action. Yet they manage to build a new cafeteria where we don't need one. On the very edge of the campus as oppose to the old one that is in the middle of campus. I love politics. Don't you?
Guest Jed
Same thing here. My town's schools were all being renovated, and a new one was being made so they could split up the K-2 and 3-5 students.... *cough*stupid*cough* It took the "committee" 5 years to determine whether or not to do it and they even interrupted the construction at one point. Dumbasses.
ShockV1.89
lol Education politics are usually real bad. It usually stems from people who have no idea about anything concerning schools trying to make decisions on what goes on in schools. Bushs standardized test hike is a prime example... On the local level, it takes a good principal and dedicated teachers to get around the riff raff. On a state or national level... I dunno...
