Cantina Six: Postlude to Holocaust Part II

Redwing

Recommended Posts

((OOS: As RH Irvine went there before, in this continuity at least it is))

Misae: It's there. It just hasn't been used in a long time. It stands there, a monument to the old, forgotten times.

*Outside, Guy's ship scans the fallen building. Inside, he runs a minature scanner over the hilt of the sword*

Guy: That's curious...this sword has traces of a form of magic I can't identify in it. Also, the blade has been broken off. *Guy's display shows jagged edges where the blade should have protruded from the hilt*

Raschel: You need to explain this magic thing.

Heimdall: *to self* How to explain. *to Raschel* Magic is similar to the force. Creatures and beings can sense it, those snakes attacked us because there was a sent of magic on us.

Like the Force it is much more complicated, however I think that gives you a basic idea of it.

Guy, if you bring your ship into the hold we can get on our way.

Guy: Putting it in the hold now. Receiving scans...

That's very odd. There are traces of portals in that building, just as you said. There's some dead snakes in the rubble, all of which have strong magic traces in them. And what's more...

*Guy turns on a holoprojector. A flat image appears in the middle of the room, showing the building, the Asgardried, and the group. Each of whom was glowing brightly.*

Guy: We're all practically lit up like magic beacons.

Misae: ...What?

*Sir'din feels sarrow over his uncle's death. Kur tries to cheer him up. The two continue to walk away from the scene, Sir'din carrying Ravan's clothes, folded up.*

Kur: "Aw, don't worry about it, that not how your uncle would have wanted you to think. It's not the cool calm Dincto I know!"

Sir'Din: "Yeah, its not that, its that I have to tell my family about this."

Kur: "Oh they'd understand, come on theres a bar over there. We'll drink your sorrows away!" *trying to be cheery*

*They enter the pub, and sit at the bar. Irronically a certain two individuals were also in the pub at the same time, passed out in a corner.*

Kur: *To bartender* "So how's business tonight."

Bartender: "Alright I guess, waht can I get you two?"

Kur: "Give some good liquor, my friend here just lost someone who's close to him, and I thought I'd help him take some of that away."

Bartender: *serves up a few drinks and gives them to the two Jedi* "Actually, I think I'm having a pretty good night, 4 Jedi In my own pub!"

Kur: "Really, I thought that even some Jedi that would get drunk would be rare."

Bartender: "Rare eh? How about seeing two Jedi gettign so drunk, they pass out, before they can pay the bar tab..."

Sir'din: "Really?"

*The bartender points to the two Irvines and both Sir'din and Kur look over at the two drunks.*

Kur: *going over to RH Irvine* "Yo, Sir'din here he is. It's Irvine, should had guessed..."

Bartender: "Yeah, his friend looks like a close relitive or something."

Sir'din: "Really." *picks up WH Irvine's head* "Whoa. Look at the simularity. I didn't know Irvine had a brother."

Kur: "Yeah, I know odd."

Bartender: "Think I can get piad for the tab now?"

Kur: *runs over* "Sure, how much?"

*The bartender hands over a check*

Kur: "Damn." *pulls out enough money to pay for all of what the Irvines drank.* "Damnit, now I'm broke..."

Bartender: "Fine with me." *pulls the undranken drinks he pour, and dumps them.*

Kur: "Dincto, think you can wake them..." *Turns to see the two Irvines awake and holding their heads like they have a bad hangovers.*

Sir'Din: "Too late. I can trust that we aren't drinking tonight."

Kur: "Sorry, I didn't expect these two to be here."

WH Irvine: "Freinds of yours? bleh..."

RH Irvine: "Kur, Dincto. Good to see yeah. Ugh..."

Sir'din: "You ccan very well get rid of that hangover if you want."

RH Irvine: "Why should I, I'm the one who got drunk. It's not right ruin a good hangover like this..."

Kur: "That is so you Irvine, so who's this?" *points to WH Irvine*

WH Irvine: "I'm his younger brother."

Heimdall: Well that confirms what I thought. Alright, let's go to the temple and see what awaits us there.

*The Asgardreid lifts off and heads towards the Jedi Temple.*

Heimdall: If what that man back there said was true. Then I think it is possible that when we destroyed that crystal we were marked with magic.

*The Asgardreid appraoches the temple, ciricles then lands inside it's hangar bay*

Kur: "Brother eh?"

WH Irvine: "Long and lost is a vage expression..."

RH Irvine: *laughs* "So what brings you two here." *Using the froce to clear up the 'prefectly good' hangover*

Sir'din: "Remember my uncle that dissapeared about ten years ago?"

RH Irvine: "Yeah, what about?"

Sir'Din: "He cam ecrashing down in a freighter earilyer, he died in our arms." *shows the ragged clothing*

WH Irvine: *also clearing up* "Sounds harsh..."

Kur: "Yes, we were so happendly looking for you. but on the way we ran into this group. odd bunch. Annoying bunch, they had someone who was barely a Jedi, Another quite teh self rightious type, whinking he could kill just about anything. Most of seed to have a trusting thing for each other."

WH Irvine: "Really!?"

RH Irvine: "What you know of such group?"

WH Irvine: "If it was the same group that ditched me earlier. I have a few words I'd like to say... Think we could try and sense where that Jedi is?"

*The four become silent. to search for where the group is now.*

Kur: "Feels like near the the Old Jedi temple."

WH Irvine: "Alright I'll go there." *to RH Irvine* "Sorry Irvine, have to go."

RH Irvine: "I understand. But I want to come with, so we can finish this drinking contest off at a later time..."

------------

*WH Irvine and RH Irvine bursts outside and rents a pair of speeders, then proceeds to speed off to the Jedi Temple which wasn't too far off."

((OOS: Scar, a couple problems.

1: Your group doesn't know where the group is. Jedi don't have magic all-seeing powers like that, or they would have had it alot easier in the movies.

2: WH Irvine has no way of knowing what group the other two are talking about, because they didn't describe them. This is even more impossible for RH Irvine as he's never seen or been around the group.))

*The group exits*

Raschel: This place hasn't been used in decades...and it looks it.

Marin: *holding the map* The map has changed again. It looks like a representation of this temple, and the infrastructure below it. However, it doesn't have a path drawn...just a red, vertical line in the center of this structure.

Guy: My ship is detecting some sort of magic vortex in the center of this temple...that must be where we go.

Idun: It is a pity. There were some very brave warriors in the order then. We were waiting to see if the new Jedi would live up to their predecessors.

Heimdall: Come let's get going. We can reminisce later.

*Heimdall walks towards the door. Idun pauses for a moment and follows him*

Guy: This way.

*One by one, the rest of the group follows out of the room. Misae is last. She looks around the room, and her face fills with sadness*

This is my fate now. To crumble away and fall, just like all these others before me.

*A hard mask forming over her face, covering the sadness on it. Misae turns and follows the others.*

Raschel: I don't like this...

*Garland and his 'child' arrive at the bar, then attack Kur an Sir'din*

Kur: "What the hell!? Master?! Sir'Qui?!"

Sir'din: "I don't so with the looks on their faces."

*Both ignite sabers.*

Garland: "Exactly..."

*Garland uses the force to pull the sabers from both of thier hands before pounching on Kur biting down on his neck in the most painfuly possible, keeping kur from retreaving his saber.*

Vamp Sir'Qui: "It's just you and me..."

*Vamp Sir'qui uses force speed to pounce on Sir'din.*

-------------

*Both Irvine are kept pre-occupied as they continue to sense where misae's location is, unware that RH Irvine's best friends are being turning into Vampires.*

*Both engines on the speeders putter, then stop almsot at the same time.*

WH Irvine: "****! Why don't they ever fill these things out with they let people rent them!?"

RH Irvine: "No idea, there is an Airfield somewhere near here, there must be another way of transportation there!"

*Both Irvine's jump from thier 'doomed' speeders and lands on a nearby building. After landing the two force jump onto a walkway. WH Irvine falls short, however RH Irvine grabs him and they land on the walkway. After WH Irvine stops panicing, the two begin to walk towards the airfield.*

Sargadi VII

*Human colony planet, dark side streets of an innercity*

*A woman runs through an alleyway from a dark, hooded attacker*

Woman: Help! Help me!

*Her unnaturally fast pursuer catches her and grabs her from behind* Sorry dear. Help isn't coming. Only death!

*The attacker jerks the woman's head back and briefly lifts his face to a shaft of moonlight, revealing a demonic face with animal eyes and sharp fangs. The attacker sinks his fangs into the woman's neck. The woman stops struggling and slumps.

The being is interrupted by some footsteps coming up behind him in the alleyway. He drops the woman and turns to see a man dressed all in flowing black, hands in pockets, and a head of flowing lavender hair.*

Sakara: Well. I heard the First had taken up residence here, but I didn't think it would be populating the area with vampires already. I mean, it's hardly been days since the release.

*The vampire growls and sniffs, unsure how to react. Sakara doesn't smell human*

Sakara: Well, what can you do? Vampires will be vampires.

*The vampire makes up his mind and rushes at Sakara. Just before his hands touch him, Sakara shoots his hand out and connects it with the vampire's chest. Glowing red and orange energy billows around it. The vampire screams in agony*

Sakara: Ah, well. I'm not complaining. The more vampires, the more chaos. And as a bonus...I finally get to fulfill a promise.

*The vampire goes from screaming to gasping*

Sakara: I thought vampires didn't breath. What good do you think that will do?

*Sakara removes his hand from the vampire's chest. The vampire falls and explodes into dust with a final scream. Sakara is left holding a red orange ball of energy in his hand*

Sakara: One vampiric essence, on the way.

*Sakara fades out*

Jedi Temple

Misae: I don't sense anything...

Raschel: *nervously* I don't think you're sensing hard enough.

*Marin quietly begins to morph*

Heimdall: *a harsh wishper* Be quieter if you can. Something is amiss and if possible I don' t want our presence known.

*Before they continue further a large echoing clang is heard. Idun taps Heimdall on the shoulder*

Idun: Do you remember those statues back where the ship is?

Heimdall: Yes what about them?

Idun: They are um....following us.

Heimdall: Huh?

*Heimdall turns to see that the statues had come alife and were advancing towards them.*

Heimdall: That explains the noise. Anyone have any bright ideas?

*The group stops. The statues continue to advance*

Raschel: *eyes goggling* We could...run. Does running sound good?

*Marin, in dragon morph, flies onto Heimdall's shoulder* <Well, I was going to say something. But I wasn't sure if this dragon was seeing things.>

Raschel: Misae, you're the Jedi. Do something!

Misae: *lightsaber out* What am I supposed to do? How are we supposed to kill things that aren't alive?

((Note to all: Please check the new PTH Discussion thread; I have a question in there))

*Orthos' eyes shine with a brief flicker of gold. This is what he was meant to do. Kill things no one else could*

"I'll handle this. Misae, your lightsaber should help as well"

*Orthos charges at the first statue and hacks at it's side*

*Idun looks at Orthos's futile attempt to stop the statue. It finally took notice to Orthos's attack and began to fight back*

Idun: There has to be something that is animating these things. THe map pointed at the center of the temple. Perhaps it there.

Heimdall: It's worth a shot. Care to hand me your rilfe.

*Idun unslings her rifle and hands it to Heimdall. He takes aim and fires at a statue. It flies backs, slams into a wall and crumbles.*

Well it look like we.....

*Pieces of the broken statue begin to swirl then recombine. The completed statue begins to advance on the group again*

what the.

*Heimdall fires at the statue again. The same results happen, th statue shatters, recombines and comes at them again*

Idun: I don't think brute force will work here. We need to keep heading towards the center of the temple. If we stay we will eventually die.

*Misae hacks at the statues with her lightsaber, having less success than Orthos, until she finally manages to cut a statue's hand off. Misae is surprised to see its hand reattach. Raschel fires at the statues with her blaster, also ineffectively.*

Marin: *from ahead of the group* <They're not fast enough to hit us, but they seem to be gaining speed as we head towards the center of the Temple. We'd better hurry for the center so we get a head start, while they're still slow.>

Guy: *scanner out* She's right. The magic readings are getting stronger in here...

Misae: What makes you think going to the center will do any good?

Marin: <The map indicates that is our path, and we have no place else to go. Coming?>

Misae: Well...who made you leader?

*Marin doesn't grace her with an answer*

Raschel: Hal?!?

Misae: We already tried that! It doesn't work!

*The two statues Hal attacked get up, the first reforming its leg. They disregard Hal and keep coming after the main group like plodding bloodhounds*

Misae: They're getting faster...just like the changeling girl said...

Raschel: How far is it to the center of the Temple from here?

Guy: We're a few halls away from the vortex. *to Hal* My name's Guy. I take it you're a friend.

Raschel: Let's go! We need to catch up with the others!

*The statues keep on coming, still too slow to catch up with the group, but getting faster and faster the closer to the center they got*

Heimdall: *to self* I'm surronded by children.

*Heimdall and Idun stop at the threshold of the entrance to the center of the temple. They were surprised by what they saw. At the exact center of the room was a vortex. It appeared like a tornado that was colored blood red.*

Heimdall: I think I see a box similar to the first one. It's at the center of that vortex.

*Heimdall crosses the threshold into the center, only to be pushed back a powerful wind created by the vortex.*

Heimdall: It's a little windy in here and there is no traction at all.

*The two Irvine finally make it to the airport.*

*RH Irvine quickly turns around and stares off back at the way they came.*

RH Irvine: "There is something dark that way."

WH irvine: "What about your friends?"

RH Irvine: "I'm sure they can take care of themselves."

WH Irvine: *pointing to a medium sized speeder.* "Why dont we rent taht, how much money do you have?"

RH Irvine: "Plenty, seeing is taht I stiffed Kur and Dintov the bill."

WH Irvine: "They shoudl be pissed at you for that."

RH Irvine: "They'd get over it."
