Lost Welshman
Just wondering if there are any Bad points in this amazing game!!!! There are a few glitches but you only notice them if youre looking for them. So how many bad points, if any, have you found in this game. Also: Ive just finished the second Chineese Embasy level. Could anyone tell me how much of the game I have left, in levels, not amount of times im gonna have to restart the levels before I get an idea of tactics. Darth Knight
i don't have this game but right when i get 50 dollars i am going to buy it. I have the demo on my computer and i have played it about 1000 times. I love doing the split jump it is soo tight. I don't know of any bad points but i know there are A TON of good points. The best part is the ability to shoot out lights and interact with just about everything.
BigTeddyPaul
I wathced my friend play it and the absolute only thing I do not like about it is the darkness factor. What I mean is when you hide in the dark and people cannot see you. My friend shot a guy and of course everyone else was alerted. He then hid in a stairwell and shot the light. He stood in a corner and had 4 guys in that room that never saw him. They were like 3 feet away and never saw or heard him. That to me seemed very unrealistic. Good game though. Lost Welshman
That whole Darkness factor is what the game is about, its not meant to be bad. You cant hear his footsteps so its not unrealistic, they cant see him, you can see then because you have either night or heat vision, also if you do make a loud enough sound, the guards walk over to see what it was, and if they are really scared they blast off two clips of ammo and then check to see if they hit anything. BigTeddyPaul
When I saw him he used no heat or night vision to see the other guys. He shot a light and hid right next to a door. Like I said that was the only thing I didn't like. He could see them but they couldn't see him. It was the end of the game so there were many guys around too. Don't get me wrong it is still fun just that part gets me a little. BigTeddyPaul
Acrylic
Well, IMO, if it was super reallistic, it wouldnt even really be considered a game. In all games, there has to be a lil easiness, just to make it funner, than, lets ssay, if he gets shot once, he dies. That would make some of the levels impossible. But, I'd rate it 10/10. Wrinkled~Lemon
but dont u think the aiming is a little bit too hard? (i got the pc demo) i had to like empty one magazine in order to knock out one friggin light 10 feet away!! i hope they make it easier in the full pc version... if not then im not buying it~
BCanr2d2
Trust me, the shooting it relatively accurate - you can take out guards with single shots to the head. I know it can take some getting used to, especially if you are used to splash damage and spread of shot in other games...... I have had the game for a while now, but waited until I got back home with my surround sound system before getting really stuck into it...... Guest Jed
The aiming system is realistic actually. A shot to the arm won't kill them, actually took me 7 shots to the torso to get a guy once in the PC demo. Man, I've played that thing so many times.... Lunatic Jedi
I can't find any bad points to this game. The graphics are pretty much photorealistic and the sound is spectacular. And no matter what you say about the darkness, that is very realistic. If you were crouched down in a pitch-black shadow, a guy couldn't see you no matter how close you were. The aiming is realistic. Guns are never totally accurate (especially with that little wimpy-ass silencer). I think Splinter Cell is one of the best games ever made. EVER. In fact it may be THE BEST GAME EVER! EVER EVER EVER! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!! *pant pant choke thud* Oh and BTW, there are nine missions in the game, and if you're on that one than I think you have... er... 3 missions left. Unless the training mission counts as a mission. In that case you have 2 left.
Mex
The only bad thing I have seen through the game is..... Its way too hard on some missions! The rest is good, and can someone tell me when I get the rifle thing? I really want it!
Lunatic Jedi
I don't want to reveal anything about the plot to anyone who doens't want to know about it, so its in a spoiler. Only those prepared to spoil a small part of the plot dare venture forward. You get it on the fourth mission where you sneak into the CIA. Its ironic that you get the coolest weapon on a mission where you're not allowed to kill anyone. You can still use the multipurpose launcher and its various items like the distraction camera that knocks guards out with gas, or the sticky shocker that sticks to enemies and shocks them. You just can't use bullets. Keep it all non-lethal. In the next mission, however you can kill everybody! Go ahead, go nuts! Yeah, it may be tough at times, but oh how pretty it is! Datheus
The only thing about the game that gets on my nerves is the level of difficulty... It DOES get repetative to play the same 5 minutes of the game 10 times before beating it... Then there's the lights on him... On his goggles and on his back... o.O Those should make him stand OUT in the dark... Oh well... Personally, it lacks an action element, the gun system is pretty annoying, cause you basically shuffle when you have your gun out... I would have liked it a LOT more if it had a bit more of the Hitman feel to it... Like you could pick up other guns... and you could move a bit more freely... Stuff like that... I probably would have gotten Hitman 2 over this game, but my mom wouldn't let me "You are NOT getting a game called Hitman" >.< I'd give this game 7/10 Hiding in the shadows gets a bit repetative... There's really no other way to beat a level...
BCanr2d2
The goggles you mention on Sam Fischer's head DO NOT emit light, in real life they would have a glass lens, which itself may lend to reflection, but are in no way lit.....
Datheus
But there's still that walkie talkie on his back that gives off light
Lost Welshman
The Difficulty is perfect, when you cant do a level then every other time you try it you learn something new eventually giving you the knowledge of how to beat it, but it does get annoying when you have to listen to the same conversation over and over again (The Chineese Embassy 1) And It also gets annoying when you run out of ammo, but you dont acctually need the guns at all. Hitman is a different style, its about having to kill everyone in sight, Splinter Cell is about trying to do the levels without even being seen. The Lights on hit thermo-night vision and on his arm/back. I give this game 9.8/
Datheus
Meah, I've beaten pleanty of Hitman levels using stealth... Killing very few people people the people I needed to kill
