Deft Aklin Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 How do you make a moving Avatar? I keep seeing them around, but haven't been able to figure out how to make one. I am appoarently the king of dumb questions today. Thanks in advance.
Jan Gaarni Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 It's a GIF animation, and I think you need Paint Shop Pro or some other more advanced (than PaintBrush obviously ) paint program.
Ewok Hunter Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 or you could go find one of those people who make them (eets, a few people over at the swamp) and ask them nicely to make you an animated avatar
Wraith 8 Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 LOL i just use flash Jan... just export the movie.. and when you have to choose a name.. you can always save it as gif animation. But remember... your avatar can be bigger than 70 x 70 pix and not bigger than 20 kb.
Deft Aklin Posted January 6, 2003 Author Posted January 6, 2003 Good information to know. Maybe I'll play with that a little later tonight after work...when I get home to a REAL computer.
Luey Fubar Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 I'll steer clear from Flash MX, scary. But, I prefer to use PSP 7.4 (Or 7.5, I think)

Luey Fubar Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 You make all the frames, then In PSP's add on (Costs a bit extra) 'Animation shop, you put them all in a frame.
Deft Aklin Posted January 9, 2003 Author Posted January 9, 2003 Thanks for all the advice, though I doubt I will actually purchase software to only use it once. Is there any freeware out there that might do the job? Of course then it is a matter of finding a copy of the ROTJ scene I want to make it from (probably even less likely)
Wraith 8 Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 *cough* KAZAA *cough* Did you realy think i would PAY for this software? i cant even afford a train ticket right now
Luey Fubar Posted January 11, 2003 Posted January 11, 2003 Make sure it's Kazaa Lite, Normal's just too risky.
