Faith
has anyone from the UK or newhere else for that matter... noriced since sadamn (or wotever) said that speech... there has been ALOT of big loud noisy fast jets flying about? i've heard and seen 5 today... and its getting abit spooky... normally don't hear one in a week! silly humans... when will we learn war isnt an option? some of the planes sound like bombs soo noisy n fast!! n the college is on about having bomb scare drill and my dads works area is having to have RAF flights around (not over cuz if there was an accident BOOM) it because of terrorist attacks... (its near a SAS base thing) so its all gettin abit suspicious to me and i dont think the british public are being told what is happening! I think we are very very very far from the full picture... teaming up with the USA and their sneaky sneaky ways
Natty
At least Australia is still on the boarderline saying we'll only join if there's enough proof to claim Saddam has weapons of mass destruction. I did read in the newspaper the other day that some Taliban tosser claims they have chemical weapons "ready to use at a convienient time" (I kid you not that was a direct quote) The last few nights I've been having really wierd dreams about nuclear weapons being dropped on Melbourne (my home city) so of course that's kinda freaking me out a bit- although the chances of that could be pretty unlikely, and if nuclear stuff was gonna happen anywhere, it would be someone bombing the crap out of Sydney's nuclear power plant Still all this war talk is freaking me out, I just feel tempted to start digging a hole in the backyard. Kjølen
We had jets flying around after Sept 11th, sad day. I'm betting it was only because the airforce was looking around to protect the UK in case other things happen after the speech. My guess.

Natty
Burger comparison angers Labor By Jonathon Moran 06jan03 TOURISM Minister Joe Hockey has suggested the Government needs to advertise its terrorism hotline in the same way McDonald's has to advertise its hamburgers. "McDonald's spends $60 million a year selling hamburgers to the Australian people," he told Channel 7 today. "What we are trying to do (with ads on the terrorism threat) is just raise the level of awareness that there are issues out there, there are potential threats. "It is a call to action that if you are aware of (potential terrorist threats) please ring this number for more information or to provide some information." Opposition foreign affairs spokesman Kevin Rudd later said it was an absurd comparison. "I find it extraordinary that Joe Hockey could justify the Government's $15 million terrorism advertising campaign on television as being just like the sort of thing that McDonald's have to do to promote the sale of hamburgers," he argued. Mr Rudd said a public campaign to promote the use of a terrorism hotline was completely different to the sort of advertising corporations like McDonald's engaged in to promote fast food. "Minister Hockey went way wide of the mark when he thinks that a terrorism hotline service is somehow the same as the corporate branding exercises that large corporations involve themselves in," he said. "Unless of course the underlying agenda of the Howard government is simply ... an exercise in corporate branding." Mr Rudd said the Government could be using the campaign to show itself as being tough on terrorism. He complained the campaign was alarmist and failed to provide practical information. Nuff said- there's something seriously wrong with the Australian government

SuicidalXWing
The war will probably be over before I even get out of Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training. Of course, if we go to war, so be it. These world leaders are children and instead of themselves settling it in a fist fight, tons are brought into it. And you know there is gonna be a war, why else are troops getting deployed everyday.
