If even the Elves with all their magic couldnt destroy the ring, neither can a lightsaber. And dont try to say that it can be destroyed because the lightsaber is pure concentrated energy and can cut through anything. . If it could cut through ANYTHING, than lightsaber battles wouldn't exist. One swipe and the defending opponent would be wounded or killed for that matter. Also, Gollum wouldn't necessarily be considered weak-minded because of his split personality. The gollum side would protect the Smeagol side, if Smeagol isn't able to fend for himself. cuz remember, the jedi mind tricks only work on the weak-minded, which Gollum/Smeagol and Watto are NOT. I must admit that I like Yoda more, but Gollum/Smeagol brings sertain humoristic elements into it.
