Richdiesal A Request

Hi all. I know that Rich's Tuts are "indefinitely on hold." Please. If you think these tuts should start coming out again then post here. Rich. I think I speak for all when I say it would be a tremendous let down for you to not continue them. I say this not out of greed(though it may seem that way) i think 100's of people would be let down. Please Please, don't let them down. I BEG you.

I'm not sure what Rich's schedule looks like, so I can't comment on his ability (or inability) to ever finish the tutorials he laid out.

However, just because he's the founder of the Mapping University doesn't mean that he has to be the only professor. I'm sure at least a few other mappers could contribute to the tutorials there. I think it would only work if they continue to be written in lay terms though - the beauty of Rich's tutorials is that he makes the concepts so easy to understand to someone with no prior experience in Radiant. I know he's given quite a few mappers their start; myself included.

I'd try and contribute something if someone asked, but if not I'm more than open to supporting the cause of getting the Mapping University back open.

Hey i have access to the things he is making. The address should be http://richdiesal.jedioutcastmaps.com/tutorials/ld230lsn1.html

Get it? Look at the title, ex. Textures 301, then the address should be

http://richdiesal.jedioutcastmaps.com/tutorials/

Then te(Textures)301(The number)lsn1(The lesson).html(The extension, always use .html)

So the address would be http://richdiesal.jedioutcastmaps.com/tutorials/te301lsn.html

It fits with every lesson he's got. Please note that Textures 301 isn't finished. I've been monitering his process and there is no process. He has stopped making tutorials. If you are there RichDiesal, I mean no disrespect, actually i quite like your tutorials I learn't mapping there...

That is a really good idea actually, as these tutorials have essentially formed the centrepiece of the entire JK2 mapping community pretty much, it would be great to add to them and finish bits RichDiesal hasn't been able to do. I get the feeling if it was at all possible he would be working on them, but maybe he would agree to some others doing tutorials for the University. All the tutorials written for it could be run past him first to make sure they are clear and concise enough. Does anyone know how to contact him?
