Ratmjedi
Well I was looking at the Darkness Falls thread and it hit me. What was your guys most scariest movie? I didn't put a poll here cause there are just so many movies and I didn't want to exclude anything. I was also wondering if you guys think that the scary movies that are coming out now-a-days are just all hyped up and in the end they don't deliver what they said they would. I have seen a lot of previews for scary movies like Darkness Falls and The Ring and I haven't seen them but to me they look they are just trying to do the same thing over and over again and they fail to scare the crap out of people. I remember the movies from the 80's which some where good but others were just plain ridiculous but I think the 80's has some of the very best scary movies ever made. My personal movie that scares the $hit out of me every time is The Exorcist. I remember when I went to go see it for the first time when they re-released it in theaters. I had heard so much about the movie and I really was expecting it to be good. Me and my friend had snuck into the theater and were sitting in the very front row of the theater. At first while I was watching it I wasn't scared at all untill it got to the scene where the Father sees the statue of the Demon. That was when I first scared. Then as the movie progressed it got better and better and I was seriously closing my eyes cause I just didn't want to see another image again. When I finally got out of the theater I had realized why that movie was so scary and freaky. I remember buying the movie on VHS and telling my sister (30) to come in a watch it with me. She was like hell no cause it gave her bad dreams when she first saw it and she couldn't sleep and she didn't want to go through it again. I was also wondering what you guys think makes a scary movie to you and what effects you. I am hoping that I get good responses in here instead of just a little quick response cause I think this is really a good thing to talk about if we can say something more than just IE: The movie that scared the crap out of me was Freddy Kruger. I'm really looking forward to reading your responses.

{BK}SupremePain
i think many of the scary movies that comes out these days are bad... they are all about gore and have no real storyline.... i saw "I Know What You Did Last Summer" yesterday cuase it was on TV and guess what... "I Still Think That Movie Sucks":D
Eldritch
Yes, but Jennifer Love Hewitt and her two... um... "co-stars" make it all very watchable, even if it sucks.
Boba Rhett
Ughh.... The Exorcist.... I fell asleep while watching that piece of crap. I think Evil Dead I and II did good jobs of scaring me. Don't know if those are the scariest ones though. I think I've probably blocked things out and nightmares have dulled it all.
